Hi FAM. I just booked a last minute trip to come up for the Pitt game (my first game at Lane in several years). I will be traveling solo and I'm hoping one/some of y'all would have an extra spot at a tailgate for me. Thanks and Go Hokies!

Go to Lot 18 and tell them Nick sent you.
This apply to everyone? 🤗
Absolutely, it does.
It also works at Southern Exposure.
Just watched this whole series last week. Damn, it's funny.
Flippin, Lancer, engineer others i gave Disney y'all's real name to meet up at the tailgate.
Ironically I am down in your territory now for IAAPA and will miss the Pitt Game. But sure had fun piloting the Millennium Falcon on Sunday.
It is really cool. The detail in that land is amazing!
T O T S TOTS TOTS TOTS
I'll be the one in maroon and orange drinking a rail.
I downed 3 after that JMU game. The thought of even one rail now, makes me almost vomit. I can't believe I survived my undergrad years.
If you'd only downed two you'd have been fine.
Also I mentioned in another thread recently that it's amazing that college students still have livers upon graduation.
HokieEnginerd says that 2 and a half are okay... Anything past that you end up puking in the bushes... Personally I think one is too many. It was one of the worst things that I have ever consumed.
It is a harsher penalty than TKP.
At -4 Rails things get blurry but you can go all the way to -10 here before things get get blurry.
Hey. Lot 18 crew here. You can for sure crash our tailgate. We're set up right beside the guard rail near the duck pond. We should be there early so come by and say hey.
The Lot 18 crew will treat you right. Best tailgate I've ever been to tbh.
It was the 2017 Clemson game. You said "can I get you a beer?" We walk to the opposite side of the trailer. There sat a half dozen cases of Busch Light. What a great place. Then we made pizzas.
is this some kind of millennial euphemism? /s
Tailgate and chill ft. lot 18.
Hey that's my friends VT air tent in that pic!
Hey mine too!
Lot 18 for sure! We always have tons of delicious food and plenty of booze!
So if I'm starting at Lot 18, how much time should I allow to walk over and gain access to the stadium for the entrance festivities?
We usually leave about 30-45 minutes before kickoff and I haven't missed sandman yet. Disclaimer: I am very inebriated when we leave, so my sense of time could be skewed. But we were really late leaving for Wake because someone fell in the creek and we had to find dry clothes for him so he didn't freeze to death. Still made it in time to start jumping.
Thanks! I'll do my best to see y'all there Saturday.
Lot 18 is a wonderful place. We are going to do a baked potato bar and HokieEnginerd is planning to do
crapcrab stuffed jalapeno poppers.Sorry I wasn't paying attention...
So, uh, I'll pass on those...
So do crab stuffed jalapeno poppers sound better?
YES!!!
I'll take two, can they be shipped?
We will make sure that we make some the next time you come up.
Probably LOLUVA next season.
I just wish the weather was going to be nicer...
Me too. It's supposed to be 82 here in Orlando on Saturday, only about 40 degrees cooler in Blacksburg. But, it's football in November, it's supposed to be cold. I'll just have to drink to keep warm. But I could do without the rain though. Let's hope it stops before kickoff
Yeah the rain was the part that I was referring to. Cold weather is one thing... Cold and wet weather is something completely different. HokieEnginerd and I dealt with that at the Military Bowl last year... We will have warm food and plenty of warming beverages in Lot 18. Look forward to meeting you.
My wife has refused to attend games since that cold wet Duke game (@Duke) in like 2012. It was 33 and raining. We beat duke cause the missed ~3 FGs. Miserable gsme all around. But the Military bowl was a great game to watch, even in that weather.
Forecast is really pissing me off. I've been fighting the crud for a while now and crap is finally breaking up. I was really looking forward to tailgating, but I may have to be an adult and stay out of the weather as much as possible.
...or just have a massive amount of bourbon.
I prescribe lots of bourbon BECAUSE WE HAVEN'T SEEN YOU ALL FOOTBALL SEASON.
I know. Been a lot of life going on this fall, and I missed Wake because I thought I had the flu. Turns out, it was a a sinus infection all along, but I finally have meds and seem to be on the mend. I just don't want to get sick again or get worse right when I should be getting over it, honestly. But it's Bud's last game in Lane. So, I'm going to suck it the fuck up regardless.
In my defense though, where the hell were you guys at the UNC game when I was actually there? Huh? Huh?
I will definitely being filling your Rx though.
We were replacing the storm door that our yard guy broke a few weeks before. We literally got it up with just a few minutes to spare before is started raining. Adulting is hard.
Your yard guy is messing with your doors? I think I found your problem.
He was weedeating near the back door and hit a rock. Previous door shattered. He felt bad and purchased the replacement. It just took me a while to decide which one I wanted. Glad it was a storm door and not a window!
Sure. Sure. You hired the wrong guy for the job and are embarrassed. It's ok. These things happen. Just don't ask the plumber to rewire your house.
My buddy's Mom wants to go to one more tailgate so we'll have the camper in the RV lot next door to lot 18. You'll see our vehicles parked near the bridge.
Stop by and bring a go cup for some Irish coffee in the morning.
Thank you for the hospitality today. I had a great time and the crab stuffed jalapeños were delicious!
Yeah, I was really surprised how much the crab came through.
So did this work out? Did everyone get fed and drinked and enjoy the game? How did the game go, I was busy all afternoon perusing TKP...
I felt for y'all today. Weather was nasty. I almost would have rather been in the plane than there. Almost.
Said in other thread due to circumstances, we just had time to pee, don ponchos, ask some old(er) drunk guy which way to the stadium, and start walking. Sorry we couldn't meet anyone but the game experience was well worth the weather and late arrival.
If you were the drunk guy pointing up the hill, that was me asking, nice to meet you! (Was a VT canopy with a TV next to a Pitt canopy IIRC)
