Article on how the season's expectations may have changed tonight. Got to say, I'm still not expecting this team to make the final 68, but damn what a start.

I had to screenshot this and send it in via Twitter. Get better, ESPN!
Easy mistake when the football program owns both towns
I get we're replacing some talent but maybe I don't understand why the expectations of this team is so low....we act like this team is full of scrubs
Probably because we thought it was fill of scrubs. All 4 returning scholarship players are starting, even the one who barely got any minutes last year and the two that many people were complaining about frequently last season, saying they probably weren't ACC-caliber players.
Boy am I glad to have been proven wrong.
Not a lot of experience. While not scrubs the true freshmen playing arent one and dones. We are also short, which is fine with MSU, it wont be so easy against teams like FSU.
But I'd really compare us to UofL football, ranked last in the atlantic, now 2nd in atlantic. No one thought them to be any good because of all the changes, but there is talent and it's how fast the coaches can utilize that talent. Satterfield did that a lot faster than any one expected, now Young is doing that too. But being young we will struggle some especially in ACC play.
It's not that we are replacing some talent. We're basically replacing all of our talent and a hefty chunk of the players who are here are either playing at a level that nobody could reasonably expect based on the past or were in high school 8 months ago. Seriously, who could foresee PJ Horne going 3 for 3 from deep and scoring more buckets from 3 than he did inside? That kind of surprise contribution has completely changed the look of this team so far.
I still expect them to fall back to earth and I still expect ACC play to expose a lot of growing pains. That conference slate is a multi-month slugfest that I'm not sure the bulk of this team is yet conditioned for. But they have now shown that when is ready to fire on all cylinders consistently for the Long haul, the ceiling for what they can accomplish is very high. But one thing is for sure, with an early season win like this, if they manage to go .500 in conference play this year, they have a NCAA shot, which was unthinkable a month ago.
Tournament case in November?
Let's hold our horses here. If we win a game or two more, we could be matched up against Kansas and then we have Duke when we get back home.
If we everything from here to Duke, then rank us #1.
