I know this is hypothetical but for someone wiser than I in regards the tiebreakers, what happens if the Coastal ends up in a five way tie?
Duke is in the driver seat and may or may not lose to UNC but I was just looking at what each team has left and thought it might play out as seen above.
This of course assumes we can overcome the B word and extend ourselves to a Decade of Dominance of LOLUVA

Beat LOLUVA, let the cards fall where they may..there are allot of positives in playing an extra game.
Here is the math in all it's glorious wonder. Basically this division is a shit sandwich and anybody can still eat it.

In case of a five way tie, FSU gets to pick who they want to play.
Needed a good laugh after this dreadful football weekend. Big losses college, pro and fantasy really can take a toll.
I really don't care what Duke does against UNC. All I want is for MY Hokies to BEAT the wahoos. I'll be at the game cheering my head off. I knew coming into this season that we'd be lucky to have an 8-4 season. I'm extremely pleased that we have an opportunity to get to that mark. Just beat the damn wahoos and I'll sleep happily every night until next August.
This is how I feel too. Beating the wahoo's is all that's on my mind right now. Could care less about the ACCCG.
I want the Decade of Dominance much more.
I don't give a FvCk. No Fvcks are given. The only thing I want now is a complete and total beat down of UVA. A disgusting display of physical dominance. I want it to be medieval, Neanderthal, prime, base, raw, abuse. Only that will suffice.
Here's a direct link to the ACC tie-break procedures. See section B for the 3+ tie-break rules.

Good to see this again especially after seeing it on twitter. One can count on a sup to have the rules!
Haha indeed. A turkey leg (or few) for you!
I'm gonna be honest, I actually want to see Duke in the ACCCG. They've (so far) taken care of their business and deserve their shot. The crazy thing is if they do make it, I think they have a chance to win it. FSU will be looking past them so badly and thinking about the NC that I can see Duke punching them in the mouth and winning.
I ask you, fellow TKPers, is there not a more #GOACC scenario than this?
you know, I have been saying that the pinnacle of #goacc would be for an ACC team to knock bama off its pedestal in the NC. But now I believe that your scenario would be the pinnacle of #goacc. A NC contender that goes down to Duke right before the big game. DUKE!!
Actually there IS one thing. Duke then has to go on and lose to UCF (or whoever the winner of the AAC is). That's pure #GOACC GOLD!
I think Duke is gonna lose to UNC, in which case we'd go to the ACC title game. And for anyone who thinks playing FSU would be bad. I would rather lose by 40 than not play them at all.
I just don't want to be hearing all week about our record against Top 5 teams. Mostly because do you know who has a good record against Top 5 teams? No one. I found it a few years ago when we lost to Boise and Bama leads it all time with a little below a 30% win rate.
I'm fine with it. I don't care what the media says. FSU deserves the hype, and nobody is gonna give us a chance. Just like the Bama game. And I'm fine with that. Also because if we make the ACC title game our bowl game is probably gonna be the Chik-Fil-A Bowl and I'd be ok with going back to Atlanta.
That's why they're top 5. If top 5 teams lost frequently....
I just want us to focus on UVA. Smash Wahoo buttholes then if it's meant to be, the other pieces will fall into place. We just have to take care of what we can actually control.
apparently even if Duke beats UNC, we could still get to Charlotte if either UVA or Pitt can beat Miami and Wake can beat Duke. That 2nd scenario requires two longshots to come true, but hey it's the ACC. I'll be pulling for Wake and UVA (gulp) upsets on Saturday.
I just want a shot at FSU, I'll take it however we can get it.
To make sure I understand correctly, that scenario would create a 3-way tie between GT, VT and Duke right?
Correct, and the head-to-head produces no result in that scenario, so it goes to the 2nd tie breaker which is divisional record, at which point we're rewarded for going 5-1 in the Coastal (and 0-2 in the Atlantic).
It is my understanding that if there is a 5-way tie, the five teams get to create an All-Star team to compete against FSU in the ACCCG.
