The men play their last non-conference game today against Maryland Eastern Shore at Cassell Coliseum at 6PM. The game is a Regional Sports Network game and will be on the ACCN via watch ESPN.
After the last game I said they did not have any games left where they could play poorly and still win. I was wrong. UMES is not a very good team. They are 1-13 and have mostly been early season warmups for better teams.

The Hokies will match up well against UMES. Their tallest players are 6'8.

Stats for the stats geeks:

They shoot 36% overall and 27% from 3. They are out rebounded by about 9 per game. Their high scorer averages 8.2 pts/game. They average 9 assists and 16 turnovers per game. Unless the Hokies have a significant hangover from the Christmas break, this should not be a challenging game.

LET'S GO
HOKIES!
Regional Network means AT&T Sports Pittsburgh for me. I get to watch on my TV instead of my computer.
My Directv has it on a bunch of the regional channels in the 600s with the basic sports package.
Would like to see us move the ball well in this game like we did earlier in the year. The ball has been sticking too much lately.
So the game is on ACCNX, but I can't get it b/c its blocked out in my area... not on any local or regional channel that I can find.
SMH
Joe, are we allowed to post streaming sites for those who are blacked out?
You're not missing much of a game. 32-13 Hokies. uMES is overmatched.
The 13-0 Assist-TO ratio is lovely, though
It's on 578 on Fios in the DC area.
Palmer!
keys to victory
less than ten turnovers... only had TWO
16 of 19 from the free throw line... 84.2%
20 assist
landers nolley... double-double... 18 points, 10 rebounds
and lastly... BRENDAN PALMER!!!!!!
Mixed bag today. No turnovers until 4 minutes left in the game was fantastic. Johnson's 4 fouls in 7 minutes of relief were less than ideal. Palmer outscored Bede, which was a surprise, although Bede did have 6 assists.
Ojiako with 15 Big Man Points. Nolley with 18, where I swear he had 6, then I look up and he's got 18. Three other Hokies in double figures in scoring, with four others contributing in the scoring department.
Nolley double-double. Ojiako almost got one. And an absolutely ridiculous 53 team rebounds.
Agree
Johnson did get a couple of rebounds, and since he primarily serves as bench cheerleader, and does a fantastic job at doing so (no sarcasm intended), any stat at all is a plus for him. He was, well, active and clearly happy to be on the playing side of the lines.
Umass sucks. It'd be a shame to lose. Rather watch a squirrel fall of a tree
I'm not sure i like us scheduling these type of teams just before a huge ACC game. We're getting sloppy and MUST be very disciplined against LolUva.
Hunter Cattoor is the real deal yall
True or False: You could hodge podge together McComas' best rec players and they'd beat UMES?
True.
Considering quite a few of the VT football players shoot hoops there (or at least they used to), I'm gonna go with yes.
Edit: Wrong Thread
But FUCK UVA
