Maybe it's because I'm a little drunk, but this picture really hit me in the feels. We'll miss you Bud. Enjoy retirement!

We've got our health and our history. Hope the team puts their heads down and puts this one behind them. We need better leadership top to bottom.

Edit: I don't mean different people. We just have to have better leaders on the coaching staff on the team, and I know those folks are part of the organization already.

Four in a row. So pissed. I need a f'n hug.

In case anyone needs a pick me up

This is why I love TKP.

Bring it in fellas

Good season guys. Enjoyed talking football with you.

Why is everyone so sad, its Taco Tuesday!

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
β€œI served in the United States Navy"

I had to stream the game from my office, so that made me sad

Don't go on Twitter after this one.

The Kentucky team and coaches are talking incredible amounts of shit directly at VT and our fans. It'll piss you off.

I have to say, my experience with Kentucky fans today was up there with Kansas and Nebraska fans. Only good things said before and after the game. That's rare for an SEC fan base. I hope that was everyone's experience.

I had no issues with the Kentucky fans today and I got stuck walking with a bunch of them down Mint.

It just means more

They can say what they want. The better team did not win.

I never go on Twitter, except to check set times for concerts, so I've got you covered on that one.

Arguing on Twitter about football is swinging at the low pitch in the dirt.

After that game, I need a big hug. And by hug I mean another double glass of Russel's 10 year bourbon....

Warning- Filter lost.

this makes me want to cry

I awoke from my day 2 influenza fueled stupor to watch the last minute of our losing bowl effort.
I at least was able to get out of bed this morning.
But I'm thinking about getting back in it.

Happy New Year, ya filthy animals, and hugs all around.

Hugs all around.

Maybe I'm just off kilter, but I enjoyed this season. Watching this team grow up has been fun. The defense is much further along than I expected after 2018. Caleb Farley looks like an old school VT corner. Hendon Hooker is well suited to run this offense. McClease became the running back I never thought he could be.

I've seen it thrown around in comments on various posts that if mediocrity is acceptable to you, then this is the team for you. I'd like to counter, if nothing short of perfection is acceptable to you, all you're doing is gifting yourself an ulcer and a heaping helping of toxicity in your life.

A word of advice: college football should be fun. If you aren't having fun, consider why you're so invested in it.

"I liked you guys a lot better when everybody told you you were terrible." -Justin Fuente

This is a 5 star post.

I wrote a bunch of stuff about the cynicism I have for so many things but never for Tech sports, and then deleted it because I can't really articulate what I want to say.

Instead I'll post this gif.

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

Agree. I have been a bit apathetic about tech football for several years (I thought there was something wrong with me!) but I had a lot of fun watching them after HH took over and the defense started to gel. I'm looking forward to the 2020 season!

Thanks for everything TKP. Just like a real fam, sometimes we argue, but wouldn't change it for the world.

It wasn't exactly the season we hoped for, but there is reason for optimism. I'm gonna hang my hat on that. All things are cyclic, I think the 2020s will bring new highs for Hokies FB.

Joe,

every time I look to the right at "Active Discussions" and see this thread I immediately see: "Kentucky Thugs Thread"

I guess it seems fitting.

Is coronavirus over yet?

Thanks for the sentiment, Joe, but I don't want any hugs from Kentucky.

You sure? They come with chicken...
