The ladies play no. 9 NC State tonight at 7PM in Raleigh. The game will be on ACCNx. This will be another challenging game for the ladies. NC State is undefeated this year with wins over current no. 25 Texas and current no. 12 Maryland; both games were in Raleigh. They dismantled BC at BC on Dec 29:

NC State is a relatively tall team that will match up well against the Hokies. Sophomore 6'5" center Cunane is averaging a double double this year with 15.6 pts and 10.6 rebounds per game. Kitley will have her work cut out for her; if she gets in early foul trouble, the game could get away from us quickly. Even if Kitley can stay in the game, Cunane will be a challenge; she shoots 64.9% overall and 55.6% from three.

Stats for the stats geeks:

NC State is a very good team that averages 44.8% shooting overall and 35.6% from three. They have out-rebounded their opponents by 14 rebounds per game. They also have not fouled much in the early going; opponents are only averaging less than 10 FTs per game. The Hokies will have to limit turnovers and shoot lights out to have a chance in this one.
Go Hokies!

I think this one will go the same way as the Florida State game.
I think you are probably correct. But as I said at the end of the FSU thread, I think we have the talent to play with these teams. They just need to keep their heads in the game.
Ladies up by 5 at the half. Have been up double digits. If they don't lose concentration, they can win this. Would be up big at the half if they hadn't taken a couple of minutes off in the second quarter. They definitely look like the better team so far.
The 15-2 run started as soon as I turned the game on. My bad everyone.
50-49 NC State after 3 quarters. Ladies took a few minutes off and got behind. Had a chance to take the lead, but NC State band fooled them with a fake countdown.
NC State holds on to win. Hokies with 19 TO. They seem to have a couple of sessions every game where they dribble into trouble and make bad passes for a couple of minutes. This is one they could have won. Kitley fouled out with a couple of minutes left and they could not stop Cunane. They won't play many more games against teams as good as NC State and FSU
I don't think there is a team in the ACC that these ladies can't beat at home, if they get the neutral or the typical ACC homer refs.
