Virginia Tech benefited from a national signing day pickup. Alec Bryant opted for the Hokies over purported finalists TCU, Oklahoma and USC.

Can't watch twitter videos at work. Did he sign or just commit? For some reason, committing on signing day has me really worried. Earlier, you can get excited because a commitment is all they can do, but if they CAN sign and choose not to? Color me anxious.
247 has him as a hard commit. Someone with more knowledge than me will have to explain that but it sounds like he signed on.
My assumption would be that he is committed but hasn't officially submitted his LOI yet. Once the HokiesFB Twitter tweets about him you'll know it's official
Yeah, I'm not falling for this again. Signed LOI or it didn't happenEDIT: It happened
I'd assume the signed LOI will be in shortly and he just wanted to put out his commitment video first.
Hokies haven't officially announced his signing yet.
TX2VT pls
247 has him as a hard commit instead of signing but his twitter said he would sign so maybe he just wanted to release the video first?
247 won't report him as signed until VT releases he's signed. VT won't release he's signed until they have a signed LOI on their desk.
Here are photos from the signing ceremony at his high school.

With classes starting next week, I guess we will find out soon.
Can't see it at work, but sounds like he just posted on Twitter saying the same thing.
No he didn't.
For those at work or whichever TLDR version is someone who makes edits claims he isnt enrolling till the summer when he asked about making a video for him
You gonna take the word of message board bros?
247 just posted this: Change of plans for four-star DE Alec Bryant
Has some academic stuff to clean up. Shouldn't be a big deal
no no no.
It MuSt Be BeCaUsE fUeNtE iS gOiNg To BaYlOr
Not sure what you guys seeing, but his twitter has him retweeting a bunch of VT players and seems to be all VT
He can be all VT and still no longer plan to enroll early.
He probably just wants to finish his last bit of high school at home with family or friends, or maybe (pure speculation) he had some qualifying issue he needs to clear up.
Neither of those things would suggest he isn't still all in with VT.
This is the same way I took it, he just doesn't plan to early enroll and will finish his last semester of high school like a normal kid. As far as DE goes, I can't imagine the playbook is very extensive as long as he can learn when to spill, when to force, when to contain, and when to crush a QB.
Which is why I said "No longer enrolling this week."
with freshmen, it's more about the spring workouts and the S&C program than it is the playbook.
I thought the coaches sent them a workout plan. I get that it isn't the same as getting Hilgarted After, but better than nothing. If you have a good gym, trainer, and nutritional discipline, then really the only advantage to enrolling early and being in the burg is knocking out 12 credits and learning the plays/practice with the team.
Are you truly committed if you plan to finish high school with your friends before enrolling in college?
