Wonder how Manny will play 4 QB's next season.
One per quarter, duh. π
Wonder if he'll be the starter before, during, or after the first quarter against us next season.
Locksley ran out of x boxes I guess?
THE U IS BACK BABY!
(They're not back)
4 quarterbacks = 1 whole bak.
Dinich, probably.
This needs more legs.
Sure lets the 3 other guys know where they stand! You don't bring a 4th guy in two days before class starts for insurance!
Yikes - that's going to be a problem.
Is it though
It might, it might not. That's why they play the game
So they have NKosi, Tate Martell, Jarren Williams and King, correct?
Somebody's gotta be moving positions or transferring then
How good is this dude? I haven't followed closely enough. Good enough that if Miami doesn't Miami, him combined with their D could make them an elite team?
He's legit; an instant upgrade that should be very problematic for opposing defenses. Time will tell if Miami finds a way to blow this, but it's a great get.
Time will tell
ifhow Miami finds a way to blow thisFTFY
Their D loses a ton next year. They have a great D-lineman returning who had 15.5 sacks, but other than him they pretty much lose the rest of their front seven, along with their best corner and a Safety.
Plenty of questions on D, but really hope they don't land Roche, which would give them two elite rushers. While we're at it I hope they don't get King either.
He is good. The issue is that the O Line is still not good. He's going to be an upgrade but he's not going to improve that locker room throwing a 4th guy in right now is probably not great for Miami's awful culture.
Apparently not a done deal (sorry, I'm mobile)

They bak! /s
"Yikes - that's going to be a problem."
They'll have to prove it first!
I'm pretty sure last year Miami was the poster program for how the transfer portal is not always the best way to fill positions.
It's being reported that that he is still considering Maryland, Arkansas and LSU. I wonder if this got "leaked " to the media to try to persuade Roche and a few other transfers to commit to Miami? It's all about momentum and perception in recruiting. It will be interesting to see how this shakes out.
Good gracious that had to hurt, wonder if it broke her nose?
She actually didn't get hurt. She just said her face was numb. It was incredible that she didn't break anything or get seriously hurt.
Damn. I have seen this one a bunch and just assumed she died...glad I was mistaken.
Yeesh, man. That's watermelon spattering, not brains.
Yeah, it was a watermelon launching challenge on The Amazing Race. They treated her and she continued racing.
I wonder if taint martell is going to @ him
Not sure why he wouldn't pick LSU based on their and his situation vs Miami unless he just wants to roll like Tate and be an overrated QB who is interested in sliding into Model DM's on insta vs. being good.
I think Burrows benefited from his surrounding cast, and sounds like all of them are going to the NFL. I think LSU is going to struggle next year.
I'll take multiple years of struggle to get 1 Natty.
I agree, but I don't think they are going to reload or be in the picture as much next year. I'm sure some will talk about it, but this natty win is not like the Clemson and Bama dynasties.
I highly doubt they "struggle". I think they will be good - maybe not natty good, but plenty of talent
Who would have thought they'd have struggled this year. Getting a better QB may help, but if you think our losses were ugly, we didn't lose to Louisiana Tech 0-14 in a bowl game. They were also one of 3 teams to lose to Georgia Tech.
Their defense seems to be pretty good, but only time will tell if Enos and King can turn the team around offensively (at least next season). I wouldn't take the game lightly, but they might struggle some with a new offense. Hopefully we play them earlier in the season rather than later in case they do figure it out as the season progresses.
Enos is gone from the U they have a new OC from SMU and will run a spread.
The guy above you was talking about LSU not struggling next season though.
Overall Miami's defense is gonna have two double digit sack guys on the DL + a 5 star thats the scariest part of their team.
Roche hurts us more cause we had a shot at him, King will depend a lot more on their o line and scheme, etc.
Yeah, I spaced on the LSU reference. I had read it before. And I looked at news for the new offensive coordinator - saw Enos announcement was Jan. 11 but missed it was from last year. Thanks for keeping me straight (so many moving parts in coaching changes across the board nowadays).
Still think Miami will struggle with a new offense next year, but yeah, their defense looks like it'll be strong.
I guess King thought he had a better shot with Miami after so many guys we're leaving LSU.
I was responding to the comments about LSU struggling - miami is overrated.
Yeah, avanhokie set me straight. I was looking at two different threads I think when I posted, thinking the discussion was about Miami. Or I'm an idiot, whichever.
Arkansas is probably a real threat to land him. They recently hired Kendall Briles as OC. Briles was his OC at Houston in 2018 and he had 50 TDS in only 10 games that year. Arkansas is a dumpster fire right now for sure, but they actually have some really good offensive pieces. Already knowing the system you are going to would be huge if you are trying to impress NFL scouts as opposed to going to a gamble of playing time at Miami or going to LSU with a bunch of turnover and talented young QBs. He's basically guaranteed the starting job at Arkansas and knows the system.
Fair - good point. I don't know enough about their roster to know if he would just get crushed in terms of playing in the SEC and potentially being at the beginning of a difficult build.
If this happens K'nucklehead Perry will undoubtably hit the portal and should redshirt a year somewhere to try to change his name back to K'nosi. I always had him figured to be the first Miami QB to throw an interception and put the turnover chain on.
N'kucklehead
LOL. Best one yet
N'kucklehead Perry anagrams to Leaked Crun'k Hyper
Oof, Quincy Roche will be joining King in Miami.
Fixed with our saying around the office.
I've always been a fan of adding "...and Scrabble too, I guess"
So wait, I get that this guy might be good, but I hadn't heard of him until this post. Why are we so interested in him?
He was supposed to be really good at Houston, but then redshirted after 4 games to preserve his eligibility because Houston looked like they were gonna suck this year.
Kind of fits in with the Miami MO, honestly.
He *was* good at Houston in 2018, accounting for 50 TDs (36 pass, 14 rush) under HC Major Applewhite and OC Kendal Briles. Then Dana Holgorsen came in 2019 and the offense went down the tubes.
With HH, QP and BB in the QB room, were we interested in him?
We don't want this kid. He bailed on his team after 4 games because he didn't think they could have a winning season - he just sat so he could take a redshirt and play another year....only because his team started out the season with a couple of losses. Booooooooo!
Blackshear did the same thing and we took him.
Blackshear's coach got fired mid season. Not comparable and don't put that on him.
I looked at one article that mentioned he was transferring, said he played 4 games, then sat out, but did not mention the coaching change. My bad for not catching that.
King's coaching staff changed too
well before he decided to redshirt
also, it seems it may have been holgersen's idea.

That scene down in Houston this past fall seemed pretty bad. A bunch of players jumped out after the first few games...and some kids who had been working hard to earn a starting spot for their 3rd or 4th year of eligibility lost some of the best players on their team for the remainder of the season.

So King to mu and Jarren Williams(QB) is transferring out!
Wonder if Miami message boards are filled with posts like, "This is the last straw for Diaz. Losing a highly touted 4* QB in exchange for a former borderline 3/4* G5 washout? what a joke."
