I think that ACL never quite allowed Ladler to perform at a top level. Hope he does well maybe at a group of 5 school or FCS. Someone will want him on their squad.
He is a heady player! Has made some great plays for us over the years. The back-to-back overtime plays against UNC were epic! He'll be one of those Hokies I always remember just for those two plays alone.

Ladler was definitely a playing time issue, but I think it could also be indicative of defensive changes.

It's like a real life version of my college fantasy football league.
I'm certainly the keep off my lawn guy, but do other programs have all of this portal traffic and I just don't hear of it? I get that with approx. 100 players on the team and only 22 starters and thus, 44 2-deep, there will be attrition and discontentment as there has always been. Why do our transfers seem to get pub and not others? How do our numbers compare to others?
It does happen everywhere, and there will be yet another wave of portal activity after spring ball when depth charts get updated. I'm guessing you hear about it the same reason I do, I follow VT beat writers and visit VT message boards.
