A lot of times clubs have systems for season ticket holders to return tickets they aren't using to be sold by the club, and you can get tickets at the ticket desk day-of as a result sometimes.

Always heard the seafood is amazing, but I don't have a first hand experience to give you a good recommendation. English shouldn't be an issue because Portugal was almost a defacto English colony for a long time.

Lot of great little restaurants and good wine around the hill of St. George's castle. Be where (and beware) the street cars are.
