Final season just released on Netflix a few days ago.
I binged it that night. Twice.
The View From Halfway Down...i mean wow.. This episode is just... I've rewatched it about five times now. It's brilliant.
Overall.. I'm very pleased with how they ended things.
I want to go into a lot more detail but I don't want to spoil anything quite yet.

Big fan, a show that hits you right in the feels. Great social commentary and humor mix.
I read online that instead of two full seasons with 24 episodes the studio reduced it to 16 with two shortened episodes.
Considering that I think they did a great job finishing off the arc and tying up what they could. Without spoilers, im glad they didnt take the easy way out at the end.
Man, those last eight episodes definitely had me feeling all sorts of things. Such a well written show.

Same, the ending is super dark, but also super good. It's also a funny show, but the serious existential themes make it not for everyone, for sure.
I stopped watching after season four. In my opinion they started to drift away from something really funny when they spent so much time on serious topics. I really liked the first few seasons when they dealt with serious issues but had me laughing more. How do seasons 5 and 6 compare to 4?
it gets more depressing, tbh. I haven't watched the 6th season yet, so hoping it ends upwards
Quite literally actually, there's quite a bit of clever foreshadowing throughout the series.

Similar situation as I don't believe I finished season 5. I don't think it got too serious or dark or any of that but the humor aspects weren't working for me. Maybe I was just not in the state of mind for it and will probably try season 5 over again.

That's about as happy as an ending as you'll get for this show. Them giving speaking roles to the five main characters in the last episode was pretty cool.
