I noted in my post how frustrating discourse was around Virginia Tech football. Running TKP makes it even worse. Most folks are polarized with their Fuente take, and it's become binary — an either or. It really sucks to read dickish replies because of a difference of opinion. Please stop and try to see an opposite point of view. Respond with respect. Otherwise, this community will eat itself alive.
Well said joe...we got a real shot at something special in the next two years!! We gotta look past all of the noise and look at what we have. 80 percent of the starters back and a QB with experience and entire offseason to right some of his wrongs, an oline that is finally jelling, strong corners, solid if not great special teams, and plenty of weapons offensively. Let's just chill for a bit and see how this goes. If I'm wrong about fuente I'll be the first to light him up...and this is my final "benefit of the doubt season"...so let's go get ten wins and be on here in 10 months pissed we didn't have 11 or 12...let's go!!!!

Looking forward to football this fall and focusing on the product on the field. I'm cautiously optimistic. Seems like those within the program are on the right track and the new pieces are bought in. Lots of new faces, hopefully the start of a great thing. 100% Hokie nonetheless. Just like me.
I've stopped reading a lot of the threads. The only reason I click them is because I don't like having unread threads on the right hand side of my screen.
It's not limited to this forum. It's the nature of the outside world, but I'm watching the outside world creep into this forum and it ruins the experience. If I wanted to see people attack each other over opinions, I'd be on Facebook. I'm here for entertainment and information.
Right there with you. I have the most annoying thing. I have an unread comment reply from a deleted thread.. I can never get rid of the (1) next to comments on my top bar. It makes me uncomfortable.

I've gotten used to it, but it bugs me when I have a 1 on any notifications for work email, personal email, unread text messages, etc.

This is where I will post my apologies to the community. I am aware that my negativity has rubbed several readers the wrong way. I won't make excuses for that here. I'm simply letting you know that I'm not blind to the negative impact some of my posts have likely made on the TKP readership. And for that I am truly sorry. I will make a conscious effort to dial back my prick-ish-ness in future posts. At the end of the day we're all Hokies and we all want the same things. Let's enjoy our commonalities rather than allow differences to divide us.
