Thank you for this. Beautiful! Let's beat da U!
When it comes to Hokie victories, I say,

Awesome work, thank you!
Thank you for doing the Lord's work here
Giftory, sweet giftory.
Glad to be of service! Now can we just get a winning streak rolling this next week or so and go surprise Duke!
Hope the ACC network retires the Standard Def cameras by 2030.
It probably Swofford's preferred view. It makes him feel like the good old days when it was just Carolina and Duke and none of the upstart programs like Syracuse or Louisville. You know back when people got good jobs because of their daddy and not because they were smarter and worked harder.
Edit: fixed grammar
It's nice when the shots are falling
Whatever happened to this guy?
" target="_blank">
It's a lot easier to shoot over short high school kids than over-sized, top tier ACC talent.
Obviously. I'm referring to the fact that he drove the ball on big dudes and actually shot the ball.
I didn't see any big dudes in that video...
I did
His shooting stroke is different now (and definitely not better). He holds on to the ball way too long now and its just not as flush as a motion as the ones in the video.
Just based off this I think he has the ability to be a scoring threat next year if he just works on his shooting. He's athletic enough to get to the hoop and create space no doubt.
Yep, He definitely has developed a hitch somewhere. If he can build up some confidence and get some shooting motions figured out he could be the key to us winning a lot of these games that we lose.
Well a big difference is in that video, Bede is as tall as most of those other Basketball players. At Tech most opponents are 2-5" taller on average.
Again, that is obvious. Have you watched any of his games in college? He shot the ball well and drove to the backet and finished. Often against people taller than him. Taller competition doesn't necessarily mean that he can no longer shoot.
Sounds like you have an answer in mind since you are condescendingly answering anyone who replies. What do you think it is?
I'm not being condescending at all. Why would you down vote my comment? I think you may be reading into my comments a little more than was intended. I'm not here to argue for an internet win like most people seem to be on here lately. He obviously was more aggressive and now he isn't. That was the point. I'm a fan of Bede regardless.
Top 5 in the ACC and Nation in key categories. Clearly one of the most influential players on this team, while not reflecting on the score sheet, his defense is top notch and his assist/TO ratio is ridiculous.
I'll take that any day over high scorer who doesnt take care of the ball.
I'm completely on board with that as well. In no way shape or form did I say I dislike Bede. I never said I prefer a high scorer that didn't take care of the ball. He could shoot with pretty good form and was still aggressive defensively. He no longer does that and I disagree that it is a size thing 100%. It does not make me a hater or a toxic fan. I hope Bede stays for as long as possible. I honestly think it is that he is nervous to make mistakes.
I didn't downvote you. But I do think that is a little condescending. I upvoted both your comments to reset you. I honestly wanted to hear what you thought so we can have a discussion about it rather than just "what happened?".
Well, the comments to my post were people assuming that I was ragging on Bede. I'm not at all. I assumed the video itself would start a healthy discussion. Instead it prompted some of what I thought were condescending comments to me. Bede use to be aggressive offensively and did indeed go straight at bigger people in the post and finish often. He also was an excellent shooter from 3 and he no longer does that. His shot has definitely changed for the worse. He can't make free throws. He can't make 3's. He can't finish under the basket often. There is nothing wrong with me bringing that up. Yes, he is an outstanding defensive player but, when opposing teams do not have to plan to defend him on the offensive side of the court it puts that much more pressure on the 3 or 4 guys that we have left to score. I played high school ball and could school anyone on the playground courts because I had fun with no stress. When I got in games in front of a ton of people my nerves would often cause me to not play nearly as well as I could. In my Hokie and Bede loving opinion I really do think nerves probably have a lot to do with it. I also think him packing on so much muscle mass since coming to VT has altered his shot.
I think you and BornHokie nailed it with the shooting stroke. If you have played, then you know how mental the game is when it comes to shooting. There are times when his stroke looks pure and let's hope he continues to improve that the remainder of the season and before next. If he doesn't I feel as if Cone could develop into a point, but he is much better off the ball right now. It will be interesting to see how Cone develops since he should only be a Senior in HS this year.
I think Cone is going to develop into a premier guard for sure. If Bede can calm some nerves and play with a freed mind his game will open up a lot more as well.
Hmmm....nice but left out the Ojiako dunk............I mean 14 minutes, 3 off rebounds, 6 def rebounds a steal a block and 4 points....best big man minutes I have seen on this team this year, lets give it up for him starting to become the player we want to see......SHOW THAT DUNK
Think you need to re-watch the clips......especially #5.
