Virginia Tech pretty much led the entire game here, holding a double digit lead for about all but seven minutes of this game. The freshmen looked strong again.
The game management for ESPN Gamecast was so well put together that it showed the two teams playing were VT and VMI even though they had the Furman logo.
Glad to see these guys getting some good experience early on.

Why did Ben not play?
ESPN says he sat out with a concussion.
Flu/Concussion like symptoms.
If they had any game on the schedule to come out and look sloppy and flat, this was the one to do it. 20 point win and they really didn't look all that impressive. Will and Marshall made some good shots as did CJ. Eddie has a slump where he hit nothing for at least 10 or more minutes. Need to fix these turnovers and come out ready right after Thanksgiving. Radford doesn't have much size, so look for the rotation to look like tonights again, especially if Ben is still hurting. It's a good thing we have some guards coming in next year along with getting Malik back, because there is no depth right now until Ben can stay healthy and Rankin can come back.
Some of the defensive plays were impressive, but I am beginning to be worried about the lack of inside-out play. Our bigs either can't consistently post up, or the guards can't make the passes into the post. Without that, its really hard to shoot the jumpers we seem to like so much.
what happened to raines? 1 rebound and no shots taken?
Was wondering the same myself. Didn't really get a chance to ask anyone before I left. He sat out the rest of the first half and all of second and was in his warm up top the entire time. I have a feeling he probably had some of the flu going around, if not I guess JJ was just sending a message or trying to get the Thompson and JVZ some more minutes.
Heard on twitter he refused to go in or something along those lines.
That is what I am hearing to. He wasn't hustling so they pulled him then he refused to go in. He was practicing with the team yesterday so we'll see if he plays friday or not. I know last year when they benched CJ it gave him a kick in the butt, so we'll see what they do and how Cadarian responds.
Not a great win but it still counts toward the win column. Nice job bouncing back after two tough games..
I think part of the problem was Emelogu didn't play, different team when he does.
