A win-win for me being a Hokie and a Bulldog fan.. Sad to see him go, but he fits the LA tech culture perfect and will start right away. I will never forget his plays in OT vs UNC. My question is why leave Blacksburg?

Sad to see Ladler go. I guess Connor really locked down the whip role (which may or may not exist with the new defense) but I thought Ladler was way more effective in coverage at that spot. Wish him the best moving forward. Was a great Hokie.
I liked Ladler the most of anyone on the defense, our best tackler in my opinion, but the staff has been high on Connor since day 1 and I guess they weren't going to move either one of them,.

Just watched that 6 OT UNC game with the Fuente narration recently. Ladler should forever be remembered for the two game saving plays he made at the end. Best of luck young man.
UNC was exceptional. I also remember him helping in the Pitt goal line stand and setting the tone early against FSU.

Best of luck to Mr, Ladler. Ladler is the man I feel we should have had on the field against LOLUva and K-Y; I believe he would have helped better contain those slippery QBs. After what he showed us against UNC I was shocked he didn't get more looks in those situations at least.

I must have completely missed that he was in the portal because I had no idea this was going on. Anyway, I hope he can have a good season there. I feel his college career might have gone differently had he not torn his ACL in high school.
Yeah, I also wasn't aware he was in the transfer portal. It's too bad he couldn't find a place on our defense. He came up big for us in a number of games, most notably the UNC and Pitt games Best of luck, Khalil!
