Mark Smith letter to Craig Littlepage

UVA fans (rightfully, in my opinion) are already calling for Mike London's head.

Well, after spending an estimated $20,000/yr. in bowl seasons and $10,000/yr. in awful seasons to have the right and privilege to watch this team.I AM DONE. I literally shed tears leaving Scott last night as I knew 32 years of living and dying and bleeding orange and blue was over. I truly love UVA and what our programs stand for. I truly do not understand your actions supporting a clearly overmatched individual. You have destroyed our program and I, for one, cannot take it any longer. My donations and Season Ticket purchase of eight seats will no longer happen until Mike London is dismissed.

In Sam Rogers we trust.

The sad thing is I've heard the same exact thing from Hokie season ticket holders. Threatening to cancel their tickets if we don't start having a more productive offense.

i think that dude remembers the welsh era a little too fondly.

"That kid you're talking to right there, I think he played his nuts off! And you can quote me on that shit!" -Bud Foster

Yes, I thought the same thing as I read the letter...

One 10 win season and 2 conference championships in 18 years? Mehhhh.
Welsh Wikipedia

They had some NFL-caliber players back then. And they beat us every once in a while. To their fans now, that must seem like the glory days

21st century QBs Undefeated vs UVA:
MV7, MV5, LT3, Grant Wells, Braxton Burmeister, Ryan Willis, Josh Jackson, Jerod Evans, Michael Brewer, Tyrod Taylor, Sean Glennon, and Grant Noel. That's right, UVA. You couldn't beat Grant Noel.

I think it would be just neat-o if Brown and Blanding were to receive cutout copies of this letter clipped to a hand written note signed by the VT coaches indicating that there was room for them in Blacksburg.

His ability to recruit four and five star players is well noted. His ability to coach said four and five starts into one stars.less noted but certainly part of his legacy. There is NO hope, there is NO excitement and there is NO end in sight.

This is going to be great for the ACC.

Tellin' it like it is.

"Vick, dashing back . . . here he comes again . . . Electrifying . . . and have you ever seen anything like this?"

Lovin it.

Damn I actually feel sorry for this guy. I know I've said my fair share of critical things on here, but at the end of the day, I still love Hokie football and am so grateful that there is almost always something to look forward to with this program. Even when a coach or player doesn't pan out, I at least still feel pretty confident that the right decisions will be made to correct the situation. UVA, on the other hand, has gotten to the point where the only thing they have to look forward to is the firing of Timecop. Just sad.

Now all I gotta say to you
Wannabe, gonnabe, pussy-ass Wahoo chokies
When the clock hits zero what the fuck you gonna do
Damn it feels good to be a Hokie

Well, there's always lax...bro.

"Mmmm, let me drink your tears, UVA."

It was a catch

The comments about London's inability to manage the clock really hit home with me. I'm sure Mike London has forgotten more about football than I will ever know, but even I could manage the clock better than he does. And he makes the same mistakes over and over. I hope he stays at UVa FOREVER!

"Our job as coaches is to influence young people's lives for the better in terms of fundamental skills, work ethic, and doing the right thing. Every now and again, a player actually has that effect on the coaching staff." Justin Fuente on Sam Rogers

Yeah. Made his Offense run down the field and spike the ball instead of using his timeout, leaving 3 seconds.
What was he saving that for?
Is there some clause in his contract that adds bonus money for unused Timeouts?

This is going to be great for the ACC.

Seeing that was absolutely hilarious. Pretty sure the announcers even said something about his poor time management when he did that.

Guess the "Decade of Dominance" t-shirt pushed him over the edge.

I Love IT....Couldn't happen to a better bunch of Pompous Hoo Cry Babies ! Does London get a contact extension? Ole Al did before he left....10 Years Straight..14 out of 15 Years , Nothing but Wuppins...I Love It.

What happens on field doesn't matter to UVA, its all about practice and off field. We talk'n bout Practice? Practice? Thankful that I'm not a Wahoo!

Stop it with the Negative Waves!

Rumor has it UVA only won 2 of their practices too.

This is going to be great for the ACC.

If they don't beat themselves up about it, there won't be as many losses.

Who is Mark Smith? Is he a well-known UVA alum or just someone who donates a lot?

Not sure if it's the same Mark Smith, but there is a Mark Smith "Senior Director of Gift Planning" at the University of Virginia according to the Virginia public university database on the Collegiate Times site.

I love the old, "My opinion is worth "X" amount of dollars" Wow dude. I mean really. Apparently that and another nickle gets you and your Hoo's a warm cup of JACK SQUAT.

Well, if you donate X amount of dollars, I guess it sorta is.
