Virginia Tech's therapy dog Moose got a doctoral degree this spring. I am now less educated than a dog.

EDIT: Yes I can't read, its a DVM not PhD.

Well if a dog can get a PhD I can see why some one would think VT academics is not up to par. /s
They're good dogs brent
Just goes to show how much the conference affiliation is impacting academics. What an ACC level success story /s
Well, at least we're finally bridging the gap with other football schools.

When I graduated in 2015 there was a woman in the political science department who's 3-4 year old son came to most of the classes with the last couple years. Kid was super well behaved and most of the professors loved him, specially Professor Lavin who called roll during the PolySci graduation ceremony. Anyway, they gave him a tiny fake diploma and robes for when his mom graduated as a surprise, and it was super adorable.
Classic good boy.
He deserves a diploma! Poor buddy is battling prostate cancer.
Two Boops!
That's Doctor Boops to you
*DVM
Yes, yes, you are correct. But to my defense, no one knows what a DVM is and everyone one knows a PhD is a doctorate degree.
Moose is now the big dog
And not a single dogtorate pun was made 😢
I see nothing wrong with this, all good boys deserve advanced degrees for being awesome and man's best friend.
This is great to help promote the therapy dogs, which I had no clue we had until I read this. It's freaking awesome!
Love this. If you dont follow the IG account vttherapydogs then you're missing out. Their posts always make me smile.
still attended more classes than a UNCheat athlete.
Savage, but also hilarious!
If we were UNC, we would have to open up that program to all students now to prove we didn't show favoritsm to Moose.
FTFY
Now he probably thinks he's a big dog.
Regrettably, I have one leg to give.
Doctor Bow-Bow.
DVM? Wasn't he a therapy dog? Shouldn't this degree have been in Psych?
That's exactly what I told my wife!
Good boy!
