Is it as good as Excellent Adventure? No, but what is? Does it advance the story, introduce new, compelling characters (STATION!) and entertain the viewer the entire time?

They used to give out copies of bogus journey with Pizza hut or Papa John's or some shit. The grim Reaper is the best part. It is a terribly awesome movie.

Could really use some air guitar to clean up the world right now. And follow their tag lines of Being Excellant Too Each Other and PARTY ON DUDES! is something we could all use, myself included on some days...

Coming out straight to Video On Demand and select theaters. This makes me happy actually, because there really is probably no reason to see this on the big screen.

This movie is not destined to make money anyway, because the originals didn't. I would say if you polled the general public, more of them have not heard of Bill and Ted. Which is a shame to be sure but if it will allow me to watch a new movie from the comfort of my living room I'll take it.

Also, OT, my awesome wife randomly got me a 12 pack of Busch Latte apple the other day. I plan to finally try it and post my thoughts over in the other thread this weekend. Been a hell of a week so more than likely I'm going to sample all 12.

Update on this plan: watched Excellent Adventure with the kids, and it was as much fun as I remembered. It did take me about 30 minutes to get into the right mood. I forgot it was not supposed to be an actual movie with things like a plot without holes.
One kid had already seen it and liked it. The 18 YO I expected to be bored, but she thought it was funny. So party on, we have to watch Bogus Journey in the next couple of days.

I just finished the movie. I was tickled, it was about exactly what I was hoping for. If you liked the other two I do not know how you could not like this. It does not take itself too seriously and is good for a laugh. It's expensive for what it is right now, $20 to rent or $25 to own. It's worth it if you know what you are getting into. Definitely watch the others first.

I watched it, it was a fun movie. Though I haven't seen the others in a while, so I might remember this poorly but Ted's daughter played the mannerisms of Ted very well. Bill's daughter was not as strong in her character throughout the movie.

Well, it's been a tough year, but at least we've got that going for us.
BRING BACK SOCRATES JOHNSON AND ZIGGY FROOD.
I am excited for this movie, as I loved Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. I have to see Bogus Journey.
HOW HAVE YOU NOT SEEN BOGUS JOURNEY?!?!?!

lets not forget BEETH-OVEN
HERMAN THE KID, GEORGE GHENGIS KHAN, and Abraham Lincoln.
If the water park in San Dimas is not in this movie, I'm gonna be hella pissed

I wasn't impressed with the trailer.
But then I found out the director is Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) and I've decided not to be hasty.
Excited is not the right word, but I will see it when ir comes out.
This feels a bit like Keanu Reeves throwing Alex Winter a bone
I'm sensing themes of middle-aged self reflection here
This trailer makes me feel a little better:

Agreed.
I will be going to the theater to see Tenet whenever that comes out. Pretty pumped for that one.
Until I looked it up just now I had assumed it was a political movie about former CIA director George Tenet lol
I mean I agree, but it feels like I shouldn't.

Drops today on VOD. Anyone planning on renting it this weekend? I am on the fence, may bite the bullet and pay the 20 bucks.
I will probably rent it, but not this weekend. I want my kids to watch the first 2 before we see this one.
Getting them all together and sitting them down to watch it isn't as easy as just saying that, though.

I have nothing but time right now so I'll prob just buy it today. It's 20 bucks to rent and 25 to own. I'll just use Google survey credit.
google survey credit is awesome. I have never paid real money for an app or video rental on google play.
Now if it was just able to be used on my Fi bill...
I still have trouble embedding youtube videos, but Mastadon has a song on the soundtrack called "Rufus Lives"

I actually saw the original movie in a nearly empty movie theater the week it came out.

Thea was my favorite character (next to death). She could have been Keanu's daughter.
Dennis Caleb McCoy stole the show for me. Had me and the wife rolling! Plus, it's the same guy that plays NoHo Hank!
