I honestly think that if you go down, get up, and continue down the field as if nothing happened and get tackled there should be no penalty. The same for if you step out of bounds and run back in as if nothing happened.
No question, that was an awful call. If they're gonna let guys get tackled and keep going cause their knee was 1/3" off the ground (Auburn vs. Oregon comes to mind), you can't penalize a guy for continuing to play in that situation.

are you kidding? Auburn would wipe the floor with us. Love our guys but you gotta be realistic. Auburn can put up more offense in a half than we could in two good game. Obviously Malzahn knows how to field a real offense. I think our D healthy with Fuller could give them fits for awhile but not all game

Anybody see that hold that they showed 13 times that the announcers refused to talk about. He was stopping the running back and then the tackle grabbed him by the collar and pulled him into the end zone, allowing the TD. How is that not a penalty? These refs call any of our games?

I didn't see by the collar, but it was a fat man against a backer. Either way it was probably moot. We've got a shootout and that little play isn't what will decide the game.

I agree with you. In fact, I thought their size, speed, and depth in the defense would make me an FSU lean in the MNC.
But then I thought to myself, "Self, don't put the carriage in front of yourself. Auburn beat Alabama, and Alabama is a similar team to FSU but with a more mature quarterback and a Saban for a coach"
