Drinking Rapture from Alchemist. (Lil bro of Heady Topper and Focal Banger.) Getting ready for 745 tee time tomorrow. Possibly last round to get prepped for the club championship next weekend. Playing with guy who lost the playoff for Sr club two weekends ago, guy who had the course record a few years ago for a few months, and a kid who shot 69 a few weeks ago. With 2 doubles. I'm gonna get my butt handed to me. But perfect prep for CC.

Fortunately RI wasnt a big hot spot and I have family to help in VA. Otherwise it would have been a nightmare. House hunting was atrocious with covid however

Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA (my go to at home)
Will probably be fairly busy this weekend in context of this summer with my sister driving up from Atlanta to see some family for the first time in months.
Tonight, gonna have a few beers and watch a movie.

Worth a watch if you're in the mood for non-threatening family entertainment. - had it's moments, but sort of fizzled in the end. A few laughs along the way and thoughtfully done.

My 12 yr old just got back from a two week camp, so doing some catch-up while also trying to guess how long the detente between him and his little brother is going to last. House has been incredibly quiet and peaceful. Have a Basil with a splash of ginger in hand though as I prepare for the worst.

60 minute and some buffalo trace. Juggling kids this weekend. I might also be assembling a jungle gym, as I have been unsuccessful at finding someone who wants to put it together in exchange for money.

Oh I know. But thanks! Lol. Also, the Apple is amazing. We bought 6 cases the other day before they sold out. I called the Virginia distributor and the apple is done for the year. AB has apparently already committed to Apple again next year. Who knows...

Drinking Coors Light on my couch on the front porch (I'm a little West Virginian I suppose) taking in the final couple weeks of summer before I embark on grad school. Life is good.

Tried making an Old Fashioned before realizing I didn't really have anything but bitters and whiskey - so I just drank whiskey. Would highly recommend it.

Anyone in NoVa into the beer scene, I will be pouring at Audacious Aleworks tomorrow (Sat) 12-6.
Cheers!

Just got partial power back a lil while ago. Most of the front half of the apartment is out, most of the back half is functional. AC and fridge still out, thankfully it should be a cool night and chance of rain is declining quick, so windows open is the move.

Vodka and diet sprite...sat back and watched the Pens/Canadiens game I dvr'd this afternoon (I'm a pens fan). That turned into many many vodka diet sprites as the pens just embarrassed themselves and now it's 1:14am and I'm not sure how I cohesively wrote this....needless to say as we all say as hokie fans "there's always next year"...except this year I don't even know if there is a "next year"....I...I just....yeah you know

Spent Friday taking down a old ceiling fan that kept blowing a fuse. Tried to enforce the box for a new one, but it was mounted directly under the attic duct work, so just ran a screw through the mount and ceiling into the 2x4 above. Drank Movin' On Up from Birdsong and Black is Beautiful from Wise Man. Saturday I got out the chain saw and cleaned up the storm damage before it got hot. Then put up the new ceiling fan - it did not work. Rewired and tried again, still nothing. set it on the floor and ran the wires exposed to see it, and nothing. Ran the wires to the old fan - it worked, but still blew the fuse if you ran the fan on high. Called in to get a replacement fan and went to pay some tennis - match called halfway through for lightning, so drank Torpedo IPA at the club, and came home and drank Tropical Trout from Fiddlin' Fish. Sunday I tended the garden and made pico de gallo, squash casserole, salsa verde, huevos rancheros, and pasta salad with what came in from the garden while grilling ribs. The new ceiling fan rolled in about 5, and got it mounted and confirmed it worked, but still need to get the blades on. Celebrated with Party Brigade from Heist while hanging on the patio with a fellow Hokie.

Started with a homebrew. Moved to a disappointing vodka lime soda thing, then to a bourbon and ginger.
Going to relax while I can; I'm on dad duty tomorrow while the wife is away.
Mixing a bunch of alcohols can get after ya lol
Vodka lime soda thing? That sounds suspiciously like you're trying to recreate a Zima or something.
Heineken tall boy. I'm playing a board game with my 4 year old where we're building a spinning machine thing. It's a lot of fun haha. Cheers!!
PGA Championship on the TV as well and having a nice Type A IPA from Conshohocken Brewing.

How'd much more complicated was a move during the COVID pandemic?

Did you move to or from RI?
From RI to VA, good to be back home

Thought you supposed to drink yuengling over there?
I rarely see Yuengling around here. I am mostly hitting up gas stations and CVS though. Moonshine is pretty easy to find though!
Ahhh as long as you know a guy! haha. Enjoy being young man... moonshine hits hard now.

Then my local pittsburgh standby, Fat Head's Headhunter IPA.
