Jefferson is currently prepping at Fork Union.

Things are shaping up quite nicely.

Time to start prepping for the Ohio State university. UCLA will be for fun, but there is work to be done.

Bigger, Faster, STRONGER...BUILT TO HIT

Wait, is the Sun Bowl against UCLA official yet? Or are you just assuming?

In Sam Rogers we trust.

It won't be official until tonight, but with the way the heads of the bowl games are talking it sounds like this one is pretty set.

Rip his freaking head off!

Yeah it was just an assumption. I guess with Dook getting crushed they may sway in the ATL, but they seemingly had a fan base there.

Who knows

Bigger, Faster, STRONGER...BUILT TO HIT

1 down, 2 to go! Great news!

In Sam Rogers we trust.

Shuman said in an interview that Fisher, Jefferson, and Reid will all be enrolling at VT in January. It is somewhere here in the forums.

I expect both Jefferson and Fisher to be in the two deep next season.

Five star get after it 100 percent Juice Key-Playing. MAN

We really have some solid talent to work with on both sides of the ball in '14

I Agee, but we need a QB. We are entering the biggest era of QB uncertainty since Noel. Look at our dominance of UVA and notice how much their QB ineptitude has dramatically reduced the effectiveness of the rest of the roster.

Well we are currently closing out a 4 year span with a converted tight end. So I'm not sure we are any more uncertain now than we were 4 years ago.

Well, he's still a very talented quarterback (not consistent all the time, but very talented). Plus, when Tyrod graduated, there was ONE guy who was going to be THE guy. Now, we have 4 guys who very well could be talented enough to be the next VT quarterback. We're much more uncertain now than we were before (also, this is only year 3 of LT3. Just sayin).

A converted tight end who never played tight end...

It's amazing how some people just can't get ideas out of their head.

There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city.

I hate to see Logan leave but man it will be so freaking awesome to not hear that discussion ever again.

I can't give enough turkey legs for this.

Technically he did play tight end at one point...

Logan 3:16

Was lined up at receiver on that play, and in high school.

When a QB lines up out wide in the wildcat does that make him a converted WR playing QB? When he sits on the bench for a play and then comes out does that make him a backup being promoted?

No, it doesn't.

There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city.

So you're saying Danny Coale wasn't a punter? Because I beg to differ!

Logan 3:16

Jimmy Kibble was pretty bad ass too. He was bad ass enough for the hoos to declare him a thug. Think about that... the hoos said our PUNTER was a thug.

Virginia Tech would walk right up to you and punch you in the neck. They're just tougher. Cowherd 3:16

Did he punch somebody in the neck?

This is going to be great for the ACC.

I think we will have an improved line, at least one solid RB, and good WR. May only take an average QB to capitalize.

The year after Tennessee lost Peyton Manning, Tee Martin led them to a national championship. Not equating LT3 with Manning, but just saying that as situations change, sometimes it forces teams to work harder.

Take the shortest route to the ball and arrive in bad humor.

FSU will probably win one after losing EJ Manuel. Miami won one after hiring Larry Coker

Not exactly Manning, but you get the point.

I'm glad others are thinking like me.

Jefferson is being slated at CB, right? Or was there some talk of him taking snaps at WR? (Maybe I am thinking Javon Harrison).

CB, which was important because we really didn't have another CB in this class

No there are talks of Jefferson playing on offense. I think that's why we recruited the guy. I remember reading about it last yr. Rivals even has him listed as an athlete as well as espn. Espn has him as a 4star athlete

He was pretty highly rated by espn as an athlete. Kid has 4.4 speed.

Jefferson will be a corner. Harrison will be a receiver. Write it down.

Five star get after it 100 percent Juice Key-Playing. MAN

Jefferson will DEFINITELY be a corner. He can turn on a dime, and has great breaking speed, a lot like Facyson.

Leonard. Duh.

I don't think anyone was really thinking it would be any other way.

Wiley, Brown, Russell, Drakeford, Gray, Banks, Prioleau, Charleton, Midget, Bird, McCadam, Pile, Hall, Green, Fuller, Williams, Hamilton, Rouse, Flowers, Harris, Chancellor, Carmichael, Hosley, Fuller, Exum, Jarrett

Was just reading some comments above about Jefferson possibly playing offense.

Leonard. Duh.

So the 2-deep at corner looks to be as follows (correct me if I'm wrong anywhere):

1. Facyson
1. K. Fuller
2. Riley
2. Jefferson
3. Charles Clarke

I just sit on my couch and b*tch. - HokieChemE2016

Wouldn't Chuck Clarke be a #2 guy? He's gotten a lot of PT with the Ky. Fuller and Exum injuries.

Don't forget Terrell Edmunds and Greg Stroman, enrolling fall 2014. And IMO Chuck Clark is #2 with Riley unless one of the 3 newcomers makes the same surprise push for PT that Facyson did.

Wiley, Brown, Russell, Drakeford, Gray, Banks, Prioleau, Charleton, Midget, Bird, McCadam, Pile, Hall, Green, Fuller, Williams, Hamilton, Rouse, Flowers, Harris, Chancellor, Carmichael, Hosley, Fuller, Exum, Jarrett

I could see Stroman as a nickel and punt returner, unless he gets moved to offense. His quickness is just silly.

Is there any way Jefferson red-shirts?

I for one would think it'd be awesome if they keep "Ke. Fuller" on Kendall's jersey until he moves onto the Pros.

So what will the Edmunds brothers have on their jerseys next year? Tr. and Te.?

My favorite part of this whole development was watching the word "ayeeeee" be tweeted from the Twitter accounts of numerous professional writers.
