I've been waiting for someone more savvy than I to bring this up, but since I haven't, I thought why not?
I don't do the link thing, but I will just say that yesterday, the Roanoke Times and the Richmond Times Dispatch, both of which I subscribe to, had a great article about Logan and how he has worked his way into the number 1 spot at tight end. Worth a read if you can, worth a mention if not.
Not a Washington fan, but always a Logan fan, along with the other Hokies in the NFL.

Washington football: Ex-Virginia Tech QB Thomas on verge of being an NFL starter at tight end
Really happy for LT here. Dude was put in a really tough spot in Blacksburg, by no fault of his own, and just helped the team. Would love to see him find success in the NFL.
Thanks. I know my post wasn't up to snuff. I'll try harder next time.
I'm glad you brought it up, was worthy of coverage.
Good for him. I searched for this and the first link I saw was how Chase Young dominated him on the line.
I got an ESPN notification today that Chase Young dominated Adrian Peterson, so it sounds like a habit that bodes well for the Team.
The other morning during breakfast, I was reading an article about LT and the upcoming season when they mentioned his height and weight. Drink!
Hard for me to be a fan of the Washington Whatevers, but I'm glad Logan Thomas is getting a shot in the NFL.
Good for him! I am all for Hokies being successful, but I hate it when they play for the stupid people..... Every time a Hokie makes a play for the Whatevers, I cheer the individual and boo the team.
What did Logan Thomas ever do to deserve this?
He worked his tail off apparently. I'm skeptical about his season just because of the franchise he's playing for, but this is his opportunity to build his TE resume for next off-season.
I'll add that his current contract runs through 2021, and his current average salary ranks 31st in NFL at the TE position.

He could put himself in a position to be high-leverage for a trade during next year's draft assuming he demonstrates the impact we all think he's capable of having.
It was meant to be a joke....of course he worked hard and deserves the opportunity, but his boss is Dan Snyder. Talk about bad luck.
the joke wasn't lost on me, and I think we all got it. My only point in posting what I did was to highlight the amount of effort he's gone through to just get to where he is with Washington (of all teams). There are not a lot of players that can get drafted at one position and end-up at a completely different one after their NFL career begins.
Shows that he should never of been moved from TE.
You forgot to add "ducks" at the end.
that's a whole other thread there... i'm not going to unpack that because i've put that behind us... no point in debating the recruiting failures of 10 years ago when we have enough current recruiting challenges to debate right now.
He was a pretty good an for us
He has had more than a college career worth of time at tight end at this point and is just cracking the starting lineup. I would say Logan is lucky to have been skilled enough to play both positions and ultimately has probably enjoyed his career path immensely. I mean everybody wants to be qb.
We did our auction draft tonight, and while I didn't draft him, he is on my shortlist of waiver pick ups to snag early.
He got some love on Dan Patrick today.
If we could have recruited a little better at the quarterback position during the Tyrod years, he easily would have been our greatest tight end in school history, no doubt in my mind. Likely a first or second round draft pick as well.
If only he was 6'13 like bucky...
Did he get smaller recently?
The perfect TE, Tall as Bucky, Hands the size of Boykins, Brain of Danny Coale to always be open, and the competitiveness of Sam MF Rodgers.
I hate the Washington Something-or-others but this is great news for LT.
