Y'all trying to party?
What ya got on tap brother?
Sweet tea and coke
Am I about to get offered coke for the first time?
Damn, season snuck up on me. Had my mom text me asking what I thought of GameDay.
FOOTBALL!! FOOTBALL!! FOOTBALL!!!
* Does Happy Dance
That BYU-Navy game has plenty of intrigue.
Ooof, talk about a huge let down on Monday night....
Yeah that sucked. BYU straight owned them in the trenches. That Jeff Grimes-led offense looked tough.
One interesting thing I saw watching the game last night is that BYU seemed to do most of their damage on stretch plays, something that VT didn't run when Grimes with OL coach with Lefty.
I'm curios why ESPN would but any games on ESPN3 what other live sports content are the showing instead?
Starting next week, they better be showing the fucking Bundesliga.
US Open is taking up a lot of space on the schedule grid and then they still have to squeeze some NBA playoff games in there.
Tavante Beckett is a Marshall team captain today and is expected to have an all conference year. I imagine there would have been some attrition in the linebacker room had he not gotten in trouble.
Marshall has fans at it's game 😫😢
The athletic department needs that $$$.
Tavante is receiving quite a bit of praise. He is having a great game thus far.
Tyrell Robinson for Army has been today's "fun to watch" player so far.
I anticipated not having a season, so we never bothered getting cable.
... Not gonna lie, hurting right now.
Some blessed soul did stream gameday on YouTube, though. So, I was able to watch that live.
You know they have streaming services right??? It takes 5 min to sign up for YouTubeTV.
Best of all you could get through about half the season just doing the 7 day free trials.
Even with the price increase, YoutubeTV is well worth it if you want a flexible option that you can sign up for and cancel quickly for just football season.
When I said cable, I definitely meant streaming services in general. My bad.
I'm not sure if we will bother this year, to be honest.
Go Fighting Armadillos!
This needs much more leg...
I know the family of one of the starting DEs for North Texas. Unfortunately I have no way of watching the game...
Took the kids on a long hike this morning in wine country mountains and football this afternoon. Fall is in the air, best season of all!
Blake Anderson's 7th year at Arkansas State, he's built them up pretty well. Winner between them and App probably gets an NY6 spot with the smaller field
Layne Hatcher was a late flip from Ark State to Bama after they missed on someone else. He made his way back there via the transfer portal so ultimately it worked out well for both.
Memphis the last couple years has been one of my favorite G5 teams to watch. I thought Brady White grad transferring to FSU was on the table with Norvell's appointment, but it's cool that he stuck around at Memphis. He would have been an upgrade for FSU too.
BYU playing right now. Navy...well they may eventually show up.
Future ACC team Navy /s
Or not.
This is the first game I got to see this weekend. What a letdown.
I don't think I've ever seen Navy just completely unprepared and getting steamrolled like this before. Ugly.
Not practicing live tackle football before a game will really get after ya.
No really, Navy's coach decided to not have live practices to help maintain distancing.
He sunk his own battleship!
Hopefully this weekend's games won't be as lopsided
I'm sure that Gameday game between Clemson and Wake Forest will be super close.
I just hope there is something decent to watch. I think I spent a combined 30 minutes this weekend watching college football, and even then it was distracted viewing. With no VT game this weekend I expect I'll be watching way more baseball that college football.
I quite enjoyed the bits of the SMU-Ark State game that I was able to catch, but that was about it. The rest of the games weren't very competitive.
The SMU game was legitimately the only game worth watching this weekend it was chippy and entertaining with some decent stuff on view. The rest of the games were all tough watches and nothing but.
Memphis-Arkansas State was pretty close for a while. Didn't see any of the SMU Texas State, but I do think coach Spav will succeed there
Yeah I clearly mixed up the teams in those two games in my above comment. But I felt the same way.
Southern Miss head coach Jay Hopson resigned after their opening game loss to South Alabama 32-21. That escalated rather quickly.
BYU looked like a well oiled machine- Or, Navy was hot garbage.
Navy looked like they ran aground shortly after kickoff
Is it too soon for a Seventh Fleet joke?
