Where have we heard this before...
Charlotte just played last weekend as well. If App State starts to show more cases that doesn't bode well for the season. Of course there wouldn't be a way to know for sure that they came from Charlotte.
And according to the article, this is due to one positive.
Contact tracing will get after ya
Yep, and it seems it wasn't because they wouldn't have enough players altogether, it's because they just didn't have enough OL.
And I've never played a down of football, much less at QB, but I don't think you can have a good day behind just two offensive linemen.
Almost always that's true...

Exception:
Was the line that bad in front of MV7?
If you had shown me a gif of Tyrod doing the same thing, your case would be completely rested.
No, it wasn't that bad. Just saying it didn't matter to MV7...he was gonna do MV7 things anyway.
Something something first domino...
App State is scheduled to play Marshall on Saturday on CBS. The trucks are already in town, and the athletic department hasn't said anything. You would think contact tracing would apply to teams you play as well.
Hope this doesn't indirectly incentivize players to try and get the virus and "get it out of the way" *cough* LSU *cough*
Not sure if you're serious or not. I don't think that LSU players INTENTIONALLY got it. I think that LSU's lax protocols allowed them to get it easily.
Also, there is no confirmed evidence that getting it once precludes you from getting it again, so that would be a bad idea.
Long story short, I don't see how this season is going to finish.
Yes, they are obviously not intentionally getting it.
In states with lax policies, players are possibly weighing the idea of going out(not just class and practice) and not being incredibly socially distant. In their minds, it may be better to take their chances and be more likely to get it, then just going in and out of quarantine all season.
Also, yes getting it once doesn't necessarily prevent you from getting it again. However, after you test positive you have 90 days after you recover till they test you again, which just happens to be the length of the regular season at this point.
You should get that cough checked out.
With wins over NC State, VT, UVA, and now Charlotte and UNC, Covid has a lot of momentum going. They're gonna be strong contenders for the natty this year
But they aint played anybody int he $EC Pawl.
They've got a good shot against Georgia. :(
Having Charlotte on the schedule is going to really hurt them with selection committee
UNC also has now lost both starting safeties projected at beginning of the season.
Just imagine once we blast it all over the DMV that this is what happens when you go to play for Dre Bly.
I mean.... we definitely should be doing exactly that.
How is that possible at UNC?
Use the wrong color for the wrong number?
He was taking real classes.
Um ... how was he playing for UNC if he was taking classes from NC State?
That's why he's ineligible, duh.
His handlers and test takers probably had spotty internet access at the wrong times
*cries in Spectrum*
Cries in Spe
Well, the good news is he doesn't lose a year of eligibility while he learns the round blocks go in the round holes.
He is a grad student he may be done.
That makes it even worse! He got accepted to grad school at UNC, but is academically ineligible?!!! Man, that's something special right there.
Now we know why. You can't take fake grad classes.
Man, I remember the days when UNC & Mack never lost anyone to ineligibility. Got to be real surprising for him this time around.
It was because no one could read.
Good thing no one else can read because I had to edit that post twice for it to make sense.
I don't understand how this is possible. How can you be academically ineligible where there are no academics?
It's like being oceanfront in Arizona.
Wait a minute what, I just bought an oceanfront timeshare....
UNC's compliance department tomorrow after Mack rambles on about a bunch of random things in no coherent order: "Oh, we misspelled eligible."
Everyone else: Then why did you even make an announcement?
UNC: ....
....
*crickets*
According to this article, it looks like 1 player testing positive on Monday set off the cancellation.
Thought this was interesting to say the least.
'Hill (Charlotte AD) confirmed that player also tested negative on Wednesday. Even with the negative test, the player still must remain in quarantine for 14 days.'
