Shoot, if the O-lineman are decent, why wouldn't we take a look?

I'm sure the Grimey-mobile will be headed down to Gainesville if they can help.
I'll take the lineman and the TE. Can't hurt to have someone else in there with Kline, Malleck, and Redman.
Silberman was the No. 3 offensive tackle in the Class of 2010, not too shabby (in my best Adam Sandler impression)...
And Loeffler was his main recruiter.
That was a terrible Sandler impression. It didn't sound anything like him....
Maybe, but how many TKP readers even recognized the reference to lyrics of his "The Hanukkah Song"?!
I would say a lot. Maybe that's just me though.
The Hanukkah song was great but it'll always take a backseat to the turkey song.
"Turkey for me. Turkey for you. Lets eat the turkey in my big brown shoe..."
I saw Adam Sandler at Tech back in the late 90's; that sounded just like him!
Front row during the '97-'98 school year as a freshmen! I really should listen to one of those albums again. He changed Lunch Lady Land lyrics to "Hokies and grinders"
Silberman to Louisville
Would be awesome if we got the O Lineman - just saying.
I'd be down to get a lineman, just not their WR. That guy seems like a complete troll...
ahh yes - I retract my statement.
Are you sure the players aren't desserting UF?
100%
desert verb \di-zrt\
: to go away from (a place) : to leave (a place)
To 'dessert':

(mmmm....pies......)
Another argument for the pro-pie crowd. A pie in the face is magnificent, while a cake to the face would be just mundane at best.
It's because the best comedy is part tragedy. The loss of a pie is tragic, whereas the loss of a cake is a momentary setback at worst.
Can't we all just get along and live together like the crocodile and Egyptian Plover!
Do the pie people get to be the crocodiles?
Whats interesting about this story is the other side of commitments and recruiting that it shows.
As an example, I know as Hokies we were disappointed when a guy like Andrew Brown or Blanding choose to go to UVA. But what does it say about a recruit if he is willing to jump ship at the first sign of adversity? Now maybe these guys just wern't going to play, but who knows. I think good on kids that make that commitment and then don't back out just because of a rough year. Florida was 11-2 last year with a Sugar Bowl appearance for crying out loud.
I wouldn't say this is the first sign of adversity for UF.
edit: I do agree with you that I would rather guys who would stay committed to a program but I don't really blame the guys wanting to leave Florida right now.
Loeffler was Silberman's main recruiter at Florida.
UF QB Tyler Murphy is transferring as well. He was a Lefty recruit in 2010 and can play right away in 2014 because he's already graduated (1 more year of eligibility).
2013 stat line: in 6 starts - 112/185 passing (60.5%), 1216 yards, 6 TD/5 INT, 61 carries for 61 yards and 3 TD.
I'm no QB evaluator, but it looks like he played fairly well in his first three games (Tennessee, Kentucky and Arkansas) and poorly in his last four (LSU, Mizzou, Georgia, Vandy). He sprained the AC joint in his throwing shoulder vs LSU and played with it until being shut down after the Vandy game. His sister voiced some displeasure on Twitter about UF supposedly trying to cover up the injury.
Worth a look?
Yeah, he can run. He wasn't good this year, but I'd sure as hell like to have him on hand. He's probably pretty comparable to Leal, although Leal isn't as good of a runner and probably at least a little better passer.
I don't know how to properly judge QB rushing yards since sacks are involved, but he gained 270 yards rushing and lost 209 (thus the 61 net yards). Can't find out right now how many times he was sacked.
I honestly think it's either BC or Tech because Addazio recruited him as well but Loeffler was his main recruiter. Hope we can land him because that means that Ford can definitely redshirt (meaning the coaches won't have to put him in because of an injury.)
I bet he goes somewhere where he's guaranteed to play. That's not here. Leal will have a huge leg up on him, IMO.
Interesting...
I'm guessing that Tech would be his third choice because of Loeffler.
can someone enlighten me on this? if he has already graduated, why can UF block his transfer?
I googled around, and as far as I can tell, there is not a separate set of rules for transferring before or after you graduate.
Generally, teams block players from transferring to conference teams, maybe some local rivals and then occasionally other schools that recruited the kid to discourage former recruiters poaching players by saying "hey, you're not playing at school A. You can still come play for me."
Since UF is in a bit of an upheaval right now, it makes sense that they're using transfer rules to their advantage and sending a message that while they can't keep you from transferring, they aren't going to let you go to anywhere that you have a pre-existing relationship with a coach.
