Where's TKP at for game day on this overcast/rainy Saturday morning?
Drop a pin, share a photo of your setup, divulge what you're cooking up. And obviously, inform the masses of your drink selection.

It worked the first two weeks, so im makin cuban sandwiches again and Sierra Nevada torpedo extra IPA's.
LETS GO!
HOKIES!
Keep those traditions going! I'm wearing the same maroon effect shirt and vt socks for the 3rd Saturday in a row
Moving in to our new apartment in Roanoke, while sporting my lucky VT shirt. Beat UNCheat!!!!
Watching from home today while I fix a peach cobbler for my husband - it's his favorite, and tomorrow's our anniversary! We'll be ordering carry out from Giovanni's, THE best Italian restaurant in Greenville, SC, and I will definitely be ordering the tirimisu!
Looking forward to watching our guys, whomever gets to play today, ball out and put the Tarheels in their place (again).
LET'S GO!
Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary! I hope each of you feel that you got a better deal than the other.
Thank you! I definitely got the better deal. He married an engineer - I like to tell him I'm not weird; I'm just "fearfully and wonderfully made" π. And he proudly wears a shirt I bought him (as a joke) that declares, "Real men marry engineers"! A sense of humor goes a long way, doesn't it? β€οΈ
Humor is very important! I tell my wife "I'm moderately fond of you" all the time (knowing that she knows what I mean). I also call her Gloria (not her real first name) and she calls me "George" (not my real first name) because I have a real problem remembering names. Nearly 30 years of marriage (it will be 30 in January) gives us some freedom to be freer than we might have otherwise,
Congrats! How many years?
Thanks! This will be seventeen years. I married later in life, for the first and only time. I like to tell the younger folks, good things are worth waiting for, and the right one is definitely worth waiting for. Marry for character, shared values, and love. If s/he happens to be good looking, too, consider it gravy. π
Very sage advice.
HOKIES!
Congrats on your anniversary!
Thank you! π
In Fort Collins, trying to find the best green chili.
Perfect weather today in western Washington for staying in, and watching football all day.
Got some green and some beers for the day. Hoping it's a good one.
My man
Checking in from the Triangle area to say it's fuckin' pouring.
Right down the road from the game for the second week in a row π©
Will be drinking from Casita Cerveceria
Oldest is lucky number 13 today. Wife will take her and friends out, while I get to relax on the couch and watch the Hokies ball out with the dog and the toddler.
And for the record, we were up late last night making sushi fondant, and putting up decor.
Pissed the rain came earlier than expected. Couple days ago they were forecasting no rain til kickoff which meant I'd be able to get my kids outside, run them ragged and put them down for naps after lunch. Now I'm gonna be turning on the game after hours of bored kids bouncing off the wallsπ€¦ββοΈ
Make the kids run to a far away point in the house and back. Time each one and turn it into a game to see if they can best their previous time. I do that to wear my kids out.
Got a toddlers birthday today.... my buddy is offering recompense by allowing me to watch the game at his place while it's on. Problem is his entire family is all UNC fans...
To add to this, Fitz on countdown to GameDay today: "I'm taking UNC and I don't even think it's gonna be that close". COUNT ME FIRED UP LET'S GO!!!!
BOO Fitz!
Just woke up. Gonna get up, get my butt in the gym and sweat out this hangover. Get some Brothers Fest Biers for the game and hopefully watch a Hokie upset!
Let's Goooo
Brown liquor with a target bed time of 7pm.
Justus Reed approves.
Nothing says UNC week like...RAIN!!!!!
Hmm
Trying really hard to keep an hour between my coffee and my beer, sporting my lucky 25 year old T from the first Sugar bowl, and for brunch, I'm whipping up a Dutch Baby for my loverly, who loves them. Not raining here on the coast yet, but it's coming. I am excited as always for the game, but I'm also feeling a bit less than certain about this one. Especially not knowing who'll step on the field for the good guys.
Man the noon slate is a good one. Our game vs UNC, Tx/Ok, and Florida/aTm. Looks like I'll have to use the phone as the third screen today
Drinking everything on tap at Metropolitan brewery in CHI... watching by phone when I can sneak a few mins in without being TOO rude!
Go Hokies!!
At home, no new fire pit, so ill watch the game as normal. Wings for lunch. Working on some Blantons (not as a type this, but closer to game time).
Making Dr. Pepper ribs and drinking Longboard. Back in NOVA (instead of Rehoboth)...cause I can watch ACCN here??? (You know because it's in abc).
Holding down the couch with the fam in Cburg today after kid's soggy soccer match. Hitting up Carol Lee's on the way home then homemade pretzels with my little girl in just a bit for a halftime treat.
LET'S GO!
Any update/rumors on players yet?
ESPN reported JHam will call the Defense for the first time this year and they are expecting HH to play.
Heard both of those...good news. Wonder about our DB depth?
Trying to keep an eye on Bitter's Twitter (love how that rhymes). He's usually the first to post.
Bitter has tweeted that both Waller and Taylor were seen warming up!
Trying to keep the kids busy until 1pm when they go up for quiet time while the wife is rounding today.
Got up early to cook 3 lbs of bacon and get the yard work done. Now settling in with Game Day.
I haven't decided yet - either the rooftop section of Mario's in Shadyside, or drinking beer at home. At least Pitt doesn't play till 4pm, so I don't have to worry about those assholes when watching the game. I've got another hour and a half to decided, but I need to finish my coffee and walk my puppy first.
Got my jersey on. Hanging at the house, drinking the usual Capt & Coke. I am sure the dog will be terrified. Hubby is smoking a ham and bacon (I don't know if he is cooking anything else or not). We all know UNCheat can't play in the rain...
Oh and hoping the announcers actually talk about our game instead of the Clemson/Miami game like the dudes last night did. That was obnoxious.
Game starts at 10am here in Colorado. Coffee-to-Beer mesh point transition will be seamless and efficient.
Went for walk and then I went to Total Wine to restock the booze fridge (if you have an Amex, check your offers and there should be a $30 off a $150 online purchase at Total Wine).
Also, the in-laws surprised us by coming over this morning to pick up our kids so we now have freedom for the next 24 hours.
This weekend is off to a great start, let's follow it up with lots of UNC excuses about how rain games don't count. Going to spend the rest of the morning catching up on French's film reviews.
This is the holy grail of in-laws. Both my and my wife's parents are like "we'll do more with the kids when they're older and not as crazy." Well no shit, Shirley. When that happens, I won't be trying to pawn them off on you.
Watching from Texas. Right now, drinking strong dark roast coffee.
RVA-https://youtu.be/nBPCaArtW0k
Watching here in Winchester. Maybe have a Partly Cloudy IPA with dinner tonight.
I'm in enemy territory today for a haircut while sporting my Adibi jersey and VT mask. I've already gotten a couple dirty looks from the locals. Once finished here, I'll head back home to watch the game with Danny Coale is my Spirit Animal and the pets.
Pinstripes in N. Bethesda for brunch for some bloody mary's and back to the Apartment to yell at my TV for kickoff. GO Hokies! Let's beat this soft team, in the rain, again.
Here in rainy Christiansburg getting ready to pour a Wild Turkey Rare Breed and smoke a pregame cigar.
First Saturday of the season where I will actually be in the couch chilling, watching the game....
Something German and wheat for beverage choice.....
Will be on my couch drinking some sort of beer. It's between an Old Bust Head Red, Blue Mountain Oktoberfest, Or stopping at the store to get a stout. Asking TKP for help with this tough decision
I saw Old Bust Head has a Caramel Macchiato Stout.... I am curious about it.
I saw that one at Wegmans the other day. I'll pick up a six pack to try it I think.
Stuck at home with COVID.. Still going to grill sausage and enjoy some smoked ribs during the game!
Get better!
Check in from the land of the crazies. Marion Va.
I'm in Marion also.. land of crazies is a nice way to put it.
Just coffee for me. But gonna make wangz at halftime.
Just finished skeet shooting before getting ready for a wedding tonight. I was told not to drink before the wedding so my drink will likely be water during the game.
Liked the Hokies in the bottom left hand of the screen of fans on Game Day!
