There's been some talk about how it was a disappointing season, and there were certainly some disappointing moments and games. I think a lot of us got sucked in to the win streak and forgot that 8-4 was a very reasonable expectation for the 2013 Hokies. Let's not forget however that there was some awesome moments, and some awesome games. So which was your favorite?
For me personally while Marshall was the most exciting (if I had a heart condition I may not have made it through that one), Georgia Tech was my favorite game. The helmets, the maroon unis, kyle fuller playing out of his mind, the defense in general just smothering PJ, and Logan playing smartly and efficiently. That game made me believe in this team and gave me confidence going forward. Some might say it was fool's gold, but that was a hell of a night.

Miami win because i don't like Miami very much so
See below....plus 1
Beating UVA for the 10th consecutive time. Because #LOLUVa and beating them every year is always what's most important for our team's perception.
My favorite part is that they literally count down until they next time that they'll lose to us.
Favorite game: Miami, always refreshing to beat the U. Favorite Moment: Stuffing GT on 4th and 1 to ice the game.
Tough call. Marshall was a truly great game. GT was a perfectly executed gameplan on both ends. Pitt was a sackfest. Miami had weather and just the overall best game we've played in over two years. And then we ended with a messy game, but Decade of Dominance. Tough to top that.
A lot of good this year.
When it comes to game moments for me it was the Tecmo Bowl and the defensive domination of the GT offense. When I read the title of the thread the image of Kyle Fuller jumping the snap and causing the fumble, the Facyson's pick, and Kendall's game sealer all popped into my head in that order.
My favorite overall game was UNC because it was the only game I was able to attend this season. My favorite moments from that game were Logan's long TD pass to Knowles, His long pass to Byrn, Jarrett's pick at midfield and Kyle's Pick in the 4th.
This was my favorite moment of the season. For all that we put into BEATBAMA it happened there. It showed that on any play you can gash the #1 team and take it to the house. It was the biggest play Bama gave up until the last second of the season.
It was the first time they felt "Threatened" by an non-SEC team. Unknown emotions...
Marshall. Not even close. If you weren't at that game I can see how you didn't enjoy. If you left early then go f*** yourself. It was a blast, especially with the way the end of the game went.
as another student, i totally agree that marshall was by far the most fun i had all year. we were few in number in north, but by rogers (am i allowed to use sam rogers name that way?) we were loud
Rogers*** For the love of god edit it before he comes and hunts you down for mispelling his greatness' name!!!
woo! that was close. good call. edit made
That's where I was too. When it started raining harder we started screaming "IS THIS ALL YOU HAVE?!"
Favorite play? Kyle Fuller causing the fumble against GT. I saw it coming, you saw it coming, and GT saw it coming but could do nothing to stop him.
Favorite game? It's a tie between Marshall and Miami. I loved the Marshall game because it was flat-out exciting and had all the best elements of Hokie football - blocked kicks, awesome D, and LT putting the team on his shoulders when it mattered most. I loved the Miami game because it was total domination of a team I hate, and it doesn't get a whole lot better than that. Then there's the whole AJ Hughes going beast mode, which was just awesome.
Favorite moment: Trey's run vs Bama.
Favorite game: Miami. Boy that felt good. Marshall takes a close second for being so crazy.
I was at the GT game with a GT grad / customer who buys a bunch of product from my company. I had to keep him from jumping of the top row of the stands after the 4th and 1 stop. The good news we won, the better news, he still buys all his product from me.
I hate Miami more than any school in the world and I loved throttling them but GT had to be it for me. After all the trash we were getting from StingTalk, we had a perfectly executed game plan (on a thursday night road game, in a pretty loud stadium). All this capped by "Let's go Hokies" being chanted pretty loud in Atlanta was incredible. I was pretty proud to be a Hokie that day.
Beating GT, Miami, and of course, UVA.
Another winning record, although we could have done better, and another bowl game.
My favorite game was definitely Georgia Tech. Seeing us taking another approach at stopping their offense was exciting, especially seeing Fuller literally try to jump over there line play after play. It was like watching highlights from the waterboy.
My favorite moment, however, was Josh Stanford's TD in the Miami game. The cutback move and him breaking all those tackles was awesome.

OMG yes!!! Josh "Scuttlepuss" Stanford! That was a great, great play. And Fuck Miami.
Fave moment: Ky. Fuller pick off of McArron.
Fave game: Miami with Decade of Dominance in close 2nd.
GT hands down...not even close for me. That was vintage Bud Foster D and what you should think of when you think Virginia Tech Football
I think the best game was beating GT. This is the only other team (before this year) to win the Coastal. Beating them was great because you figured it would factor into any tiebreaker down the line and that VT was in the early lead for the Coastal. After that, each week was a gamble to see which VT team would show up.
Favorite Moment: O-line and D-line play against BeatBama
Favorite Game: GT
Being in Atlanta for Alabama was my favorite moment because I absolutely had a blast sitting in the middle of ALL Alabama fans and nearly falling off of the section when Trey Edmunds scored that one time. Their faces were priceless. I couldn't talk after that game and the migraine from screaming was so worth it. Also, one of you had to be sitting in front of me because there was a guy with a horse on a treadmill shirt.
BUT my favorite game would probably be Georgia Tech or Miami. I was so excited to see the team come out and play GREAT for both of those. Living in Bristol I just really don't care much about the UVA-VT rivalry. Most people don't even know there is a UVA down here.
That might have been me. I was completely surrounded by Bama fans and when Edmunds scored I lost it. Then some Bama fan told me to sit and stop cheering so loudly. She was ignored.
Don't downvote me but I think my favorite moment was when they did the Horse on a Treadmill commercials at the Maryland game. It was just fun, I completely forgot that I was stressed the hell out over the game and I was wearing my TKP shirt as well. Also up there was completely shutting down Amari Cooper after getting into it on twitter with some dumb Bama fans, #punterswag vs. Miami and the Kyshoen hit vs. Pitt.
Best game for me was a toss-up between Gah Tech and Miami. Everything went right in the Miami game and after the first ten minutes, everything went Tech's way. I was actually able to just sit back, relax and laugh about how awesome it was. That said, I megaloathe Gah Tech and beating them, particularly with Kyle Fuller's performance, was fantastic. Marshall would've been up there if it wasn't effing Marshall...
#DecadeofDominance
The best game of the season for me was Marshall. I was in Lane with my 7 year-old son until the victorious end. As the crowd got thinner and the field got messier, the game went from goodto greatto epic. The blocked punt returned for a TD, the AJ Hughes power run for a first down, and, to be fair, the ability of Rakeem Cato to somehow convert on third down time after time, all made for some excellent football.
The best moment of the game (and season) for me was the blocked field goal in the first overtime. I remember standing there thinking, my kid is yelling his lungs out and I am too, and after almost 3 hours of this soaking wet, windy, awful mess, we are about to see our team lose to freaking Marshall. For a split-second I thought, we can watch the kick as we walk down the stairs in order to get a head start on our departure. Then I self-corrected and said, what an idiot I would be to do that. We are going to block the field goal and win this. Believe. And we did.
The best moment of the day was after the game had ended, walking down the East Stands exit ramp, hearing my son tell me That was AWESOME and realizing that he will remember this day for the rest of his life.
Decade of Dominance just because I didn't get to watch really any of the Miami game and I can't stand UVA. Plus, after that was over, watching the walk off field goal return in the Iron bowl was pretty glorious.
1) Being on the big board three times during the maryland game
2) Kyle Fuller swatting it away against Alabama
3) Beating UVA
1. Beating the snot out of Miami for sure. DEY' BACK, DA U!!!
2. Beating GT
3. Decade of Dominance (though the game itself was about as fun as watching the Rutgers game)
4. Our defense dominating Alabama (too bad our special teams didn't show up...)
Best games were GT and Miami, because they felt like the Hokie football I was used to. Although I never got comfortable in the GT game until the clock hit 0.
Best moment was probably that blocked punt against Marshall. I think that got a bigger reaction than any score.
1) Trey's run vs Bama
2) Ky Fuller calling his block for brother Ke Fuller's return vs Bama
honorable mention: Bama fan reaction to 1) above (someone have that gif?)
"My favorite game was the Duke game!"
-said no Hokie ever.
No real order to these:
Moment: TD Trey. Nothing like taking the wind out of the Bama crowd.
Win: Miami
Game attended: UNC (the only game I went to this year). Nothing like tailgating in the fall and being at a game for a win.
