OT: Six Pick Week 6, 2020 Edition

Congrats to the 5-1 entries last week from Hokietopher, dmhbeaver, buhkoom, and yours truly. Finally. Now that we are approaching the middle of the season, Ropp32 and 2Hokiesin1 are leading the way with 19. There's a 5-way tie behind them with 17, then 4 at 16. It's wide open with time to go!

5 games this week with double digit spreads. Too much? Too little? Just right? (Well, that can't be because all are half points, but it's 2020, so anything is possible.)

Clemson @ Georgia Tech (+26.5)
The Tigers are rolling, again. Interestingly enough, GT is averaging nearly the same amount of yards per game at Clemson, 477-453. But, the downfall is on the other side of the ball with GT giving up 150 more per game. Does that equate to covering 26.5? Nope. Clemson cruises, but under the 26.5. Gimme the points.

Pittsburgh @ Miami (-10.5)
Miami ain't bak! Now that we've got that out of the way in early October, we can get on the games like this. 10.5...hmmm. Pitt has a pretty stingy defense so far this year, statistically. Visually, back to back losses to NCSt and BC show the level of the program now. Miami. With the chain all over the place on Saturday. Barf. But they cover!

Louisville @ Notre Dame (-16.5)
The cards are coming off 3 straight losses. It will be 4 after this weekend. Notre Dame has their way trying to impress the judges in the talent portion of the competition. Take the chalk.

North Carolina @ Florida State (+13.5)
Sam Howell will have an opportunity to show he's not a one-year wonder. The weather should be optimal for a 400+ yard game from him this weekend. And blowing well past that 13.5 point spread. F$U is trbl this year. And their spirit will be broken in the first 5 minutes Saturday.

Boston College @ Virginia Tech (-11.5)
Hokies. BIG. Period.

Georgia @ Alabama (-5.5)
Here's my flip-it game. I think Georgia goes in there and makes this way closer than it needs to be. I think Bammer will dominate the stats, the TOP, the smell test, but it will be closer than 5.5 points.

Beer of the weekend:

Our club championship is this weekend, both Saturday and Sunday. I'll crack a few of these while trying to find the Hokie game on tv. Nice little lemony vanilla IPA from Dewey! Prost everyone.
