In Greenville with my wife and her roommates (again, residency). Gonna go get some wafflehouse here in a few (I'm a classy broad), come back, watch some Gameday, get a run in, watch a bunch of games and drink a couple beers along the way.
One of the roommates is a UGA alum and batshit crazy about the dawgs...so when I saw they, too, have an 8pm kick, I said "uh-oh, I know where I come out in this equation." So I brought down the tv from our living room. It's bigger, it's newer, and it's gonna have the Tech game on. I guess you could say it...just means more.

Chilling (and it is getting colder) by the lake really looking forward to the game because watching the ads during the BYU Houston game last night I realized the ACCN down and distance crew went into advertising and are doing ads for Progressive Insurance. That should really improve the broadcasts.

If you are making a big batch:
1 bottle of white wine (pinot grigio/riesling/ sauv blanc)
1 cup caramel vodka
6 cups apple cider (about a gallon)
2 apples cored and chopped
** you can add Fireball if you like (I used to add the captain Morgan pumpkin spice rum, but they don't make it anymore)
Tastes like fall in a cup
I've been making it a glass at a time, just pouring some of everything into a glass.

Winterizing the house. Putting the porch furniture and the porch swing away. Maybe put up the storm windows. Watch a little football, switching between Pitt-Miami(if I can find it) and Clemson- Ga Tech. Salmon and red wine for dinner. Knob Creek for VT football.

Storyline for today: Does BC revert to BC and try to pound VT's vulnerable defensive front seven? Or, do they attack down the field with Long and Flowers?
On defense, expect BC to load the box, and play soft shell behind. Herbert had a huge game vs BC last year. Hopefully Vice's more aggressive OL techniques offset the BC adjustments (playing flat down the line vs zone reads) that killed the Hokies last year.
Marcus Valdez (DE) and Max Richardson (LB) will be pains in the ass all day.

While watching last year's game, I thought Flowers is just gonna be one of those players that seems to terrorize us every year. Not looking forward to seeing him play tonight

We just booked a trip down there for late February. With everyone pumping out kids left and right in our group, may be the last big group trip for a while.

And incredibly affordable too. Nah, we went down around the same time in 2017 I think it was. Only course I remember was Tobacco Road and we played in hurricane type winds and about 40 degree temperatures...it was miserable. Other two days were great though.

Very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink, he would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Some times he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy, the sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical, summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds, pretty standard really. At the age of 12 I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen, a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum, it's breathtaking, I suggest you try it.

My daughter's birthday was yesterday so she's having friends over today. Needless to say, I will be drinking this evening during the game, after they have gone home. I have some Beam Black, extra aged for the game.

Moving stuff over to the new house. Daughter has a swim meet, so wife and I will be watching the feed of that since they do not let spectators into the place. Was hoping to go bike riding but probably won't have time.
Oh, and a few days ago I went to the gym for the first time in about 7 months - and it really showed. God my arms hurt. I could not even straighten out my right elbow last night or this morning. Still feels like it is getting stabbed when I do straighten it.

Holy shit! My daughter dropped almost 11 seconds from her 50 freestyle time!!!! She went from being one of the slowest of anyone at her last meet (i.e., bottom 10%) to finishing first on her team. Man this would be like Rutgers going to 10-2 next year.

She - literally, with no exaggeration - posted at time that is 75% of her prior best. Dropped almost 8 seconds in 100 back too. Not the huge percentage drop of the 50 free, but man still. Final event was 50 back and she was pretty much flat there. Think she was tired. We owe her a celebration 1st place dinner wherever she wants it (as long as local that is).

Trapped inside all weekend while I await a friend's covid test results on monday. Watching epl all morning and most of the afternoon, then will probably order some food and watch the Hokies win tonight. I've got ommegang's double barrel dubbel and barrel aged vanilla smoked porter -- both pretty good and both pretty potent at 10%+

Woodworking is not a full blown hobby for me but I built the frame for a fish tank stand last week. Only a small wobble, hah. Good thing its for a small tank so I can get away with just shimming it. Gonna face it next weekend. It was a satisfying experience.

Pumpkin patch / tractor ride this morning, pumpkin carving and baking seeds this afternoon. Sausage and peppers for dinner, along with some Maisel's Weisse hefe-weissbier

I'm in agreement! But I have personally gotten the side eye before when mentioning Yuengling. I'm as must of a beer snob as the next guy but it's a bit ridiculous when we get "above" drinking what I think is a good beer

Had artichoke dip with pita chips already, cooking Lamb sliders, sweet potatoes fries, and a harvest salad. Wife is making some kind of bourbon pecan bundt cake for dessert. Drinking bourbon and ginger as always.

Making meatloaf today along w some smashed reds and chasing it down with about a gallon of Basil Hayden.
Bed time will not be as early as I'd like. Justus and I will both be dragging tomorrow.
Rifle opener today, in a deer stand. Looking forward to climbing out tonight and watching the game and drinking some Elijah Craig
Making up some Q from a butt I pulled and froze, Landshark for libation. Oh, and lest I forget.......
LET'S GO!!!
HOKIES!!!
Thinking a good pot of potato soup loaded with sharp cheddar, crumbled bacon and scallions with cornbread.
Breaking open a new bottle of apple brandy with a nod to our great statesman GW. Soooooo good.
Hope ya make a few Brandy Old Fashioneds! The best way to make an old fashioned.
Cleaning our new house and making as much progress packing our old place as possible.
It's going to be a very long day!
Moving is the worst. Godspeed.

Pendleton 1910 or some Casamigos Anejo. Depending on how I'm feeling after working all day.
No fancy setup. Just trying to avoid waking up the wife and munchkin.
So... I've decide on both.
Somewhat oddly appropriate for today's game:
Dropkicks used to do a punk rock version of BC's fight song at shows
It was usually their opener, if not Scotland the Brave
That's one way to preheat - I mean pregame - pregame, that's one way to pregame for tonight!
We have a wedding to go to. And they're Hoos. But the service is at 1 and there's an open bar and we got a sitter so not so bad.

Today I'm doing some yard work. I was going to put it off until tomorrow, but sunny days are few and far between at this time of year now.
Anyhow, once that's done I'll be watching the game from home. No beer this week. Got some dutchberry though.
I am making a pot of soup. Hubby is making crab stuffed jalapeno poppers. Drinking Captain and Coke, maybe caramel apple sangria too...
Caramel apple sangria....care to share that recipe?

I am at home. Fished yesterday. I will probably watch laying chest down on the floor. My back is killing me.
http://solidback.org for the lower back. https://gochirp.com/ for the mid back to the shoulder blades.
Playing a round on Pinehurst no. 6 before having takeout barbecue from the brewery in town and watching the game
We just booked a trip down there for late February. With everyone pumping out kids left and right in our group, may be the last big group trip for a while.
Late February down here is usually a great time. Warm enough but not too crowded. Will it be your first time?
And incredibly affordable too. Nah, we went down around the same time in 2017 I think it was. Only course I remember was Tobacco Road and we played in hurricane type winds and about 40 degree temperatures...it was miserable. Other two days were great though.
Tobacco Road is a blast in normal conditions. The most visually intimidating course but actually pretty scoreable if you can get past the sight lines
Suuuper intimidating with 50mph gusts lol we were pretty bummed but made it fun in a weird way.
You have me thinking about booking my own now.
Rounds at Legacy, Talamore, and Mid South. Staying in the Talamore Villas. Eight of us at 264...not bad in my book.

Busch light and chicken wings
Just the way it should be
My daughter's birthday was yesterday so she's having friends over today. Needless to say, I will be drinking this evening during the game, after they have gone home. I have some Beam Black, extra aged for the game.
Doing some work around the house today, gonna grab some Buffalo Wild Wings and sip on some kind of whiskey.

On way to Outerbanks, hoping we have accn so I am not watching on my phone
Should have brought a Chromecast or similar just in case
I'm probably gonna play FIFA all day until the game
Just finished a nice run through Winchester. Going to chill for the day then catch the game.
Thank God we don't have to listen to Herzlich be all about BC tonight... He is doing the Pitt/Miami game now.
Woodworking in the garage today making my first end grain cutting board. New hobby that I picked up over the quarantine.
Woodworking is not a full blown hobby for me but I built the frame for a fish tank stand last week. Only a small wobble, hah. Good thing its for a small tank so I can get away with just shimming it. Gonna face it next weekend. It was a satisfying experience.
Edit: Haven't began drinking yet and I'm already posting in the wrong places.
Pumpkin patch / tractor ride this morning, pumpkin carving and baking seeds this afternoon. Sausage and peppers for dinner, along with some Maisel's Weisse hefe-weissbier
Costume shopping with the kids...check
Roast chicken marinating on the counter...check
Wild Turkey bourbon... check
Let's go!!!!
HOKIES!!!!
Finished making a few edge grain cutting boards for my side gig, started making a few more. Work is done time to play!
Watching from home in Kill Devil Hills, beer fridge is stocked, kegerator has 10 gallons of homebrew... ready to go!
Good sign to see the Deablo jersey?
Hell yeah, beats not seeing it!
Grilling some wings (Garlic Buffalo and Honey Siracha). Sycamore Fantasy Land and Yuengling Pilsners.
Visiting an old bud down in Goldsboro NC. Got some deep river 4042 chocolate stout ready to go
I saw a guy buying a Yuengling Hershey Stout in the grocery store the other night. Wasn't sure what to make it of it.
Its not bad. I know some people will turn their noses up at it because it's Yuengling, but if you're curious give one a try
There is absolutely nothing wrong with Yuengling!
I'm in agreement! But I have personally gotten the side eye before when mentioning Yuengling. I'm as must of a beer snob as the next guy but it's a bit ridiculous when we get "above" drinking what I think is a good beer
Out on the left coast, about to grab my first drink of the day. Should be a good evening.
At home in the Nashville area, smoking 3 racks of baby backs over applewood chunks. Almost ready to pull off the Kamado Joe and rest. Go Hokies!
Had artichoke dip with pita chips already, cooking Lamb sliders, sweet potatoes fries, and a harvest salad. Wife is making some kind of bourbon pecan bundt cake for dessert. Drinking bourbon and ginger as always.
