I know, poor Nico. Feel so bad for him. Shame on Tennessee for trying to make him play football in a playoff without gross overcompensation.

I don't understand this hate. Everything worked exactly as it should. Nico pushed the boundaries enough to upset the coaching staff, and the coaching staff responded.

No one's abusing the system here. The checks/balances worked.

With more freedom of choice comes less freedom from consequence. Nico's squad overplayed their hand and had to deal with the consequence. That's life. Great learning experience for a young adult imo.

Do I think that players should have slightly less freedom of choice in exchange for exposure to slightly less consequence? Yes. But that's not possible until a collective bargaining agreement is in place. Do I think this is better than what players had before, where power dynamic was 97% slated towards the school/coach? Yes, personally I do.

I'll put this here for the recruit in the OP, but you can assume I'm thinking this for every target/visitor.

He threatened to sit out of a playoff game. That's about as low as you can get.

Honestly, this whole thread can just burn. I don't want to hear another word about this motherfucker.

The Fox Saturday morning football show is far superior to Gameday now. In fact, Fox's coverage of just about anything sports is better than ESPN at this point. Gameday and any other ESPN programming is largely unwatchable anymore. It's just poorly produced, and getting cheap so they can pay the SEC top dollar and pay for one NFL MNF game a week are some of the dumbest business moves. They've had to cut some of their top talent just to pay those.

Nice.

Played 9 this afternoon. Got to the course a bit early and actually went through a warm up routine. A couple of putting drills which didn't boost my confidence putting, about 20 chips in the short game area that were meh and 20 shots on the range which left me wondering if I should even go out. Warm up sessions like that make me want to just walk up to the first tee and take 10 swings with a weighted club and then hit.

Scraped my way to a 48 without hitting a good full swing shot until the 7th tee. Putting, and to a lesser extent chipping, saved about 4 strokes. I finally found the driver swing on the last 3 drives, but my irons still weren't flying right.

Stuck in the bleachers, tunnels full and unmoving, we were forced to ride it out. When they finally called the game, we were directed to the field and exited in calf deep water past the benches and out of the stadium finally. The lightening and rain were pretty scary, but we had no option other than riding it out. Went to Taco Bell afterward and had the place to ourselves after passing some GT fans on their way out. They stole all of our magnet signs from my buddy's car, the low life bastards, and forever cemented their place as low life thieves in my mind whenever we play them. That was a scary storm, and I'm pretty sure I remember the strike that hit Corso's car. On top of that, we were ready for them and woulda whupped 'em...

Braydon Hawthorne mentioned in OP will be back tomorrow for an official visit. Second time on campus since Coach Frazier returned. #71 in Class of 2025. Per 247Sports

Hokies lose on a mistake by the outfielder. Awful loss for Hokies on all fronts. Could really hurt in the rankings since Pitt has a terrible sub 500 record.
