About halfway through the first book! The Audiobook narration is perfect and I can't wait to see how it plays out. A nice change of pace after the heaviness of Wind and Truth.

Keep grinding - it's a tough game. I was playing very well a couple weeks back, but this last weekend- sloppy AF. Not a lot of big numbers but bonehead shots- skulled 7 irons, etc. No excuse.

Golf has been frustrating so far this year. I worked pretty much all last year on minimizing penalty strokes in a chase to break 90 had a lot of sub 45 9s but could never put together 18. Most of my struggles were off the tee. In the last 36 holes I've played with the same ball with a single OB...and still managed to shoot 97 and 98 because of horrid short game (multiple 4 putts, disastrous bunker play). Fix one thing and another goes. Guess I'll be spending some hours in the short game area.

Part of this has definitely been figuring out my winter club selection. The first 18 I was under clubbed consistently due to the cold air. The next 18 I over adjusted and was consistently long which put me in tough positions around the greens.

I heard a rumor that in mid February with Whit calling the shots, it won't be a big time, proven OC on any level.

Calvin and Hobbes is one of the best cartoons ever. The other one is Dilbert. Maybe Far Side 3rd?

Thanks for the info. $550 is steep for me. I think I can get it to the $500's with my insurance, but I'm not sure.
I think for now, I gotta deal with it the old fashioned way (though the hunger is already an issue).

Maybe I can switch insurance plans next year or the drugs will actually get cheap enough that insurance will cover it again.

Just booked a solo trip to Peru (not much booked yet) in July.
I land in Lima and start my Inca Trail trek out of Cuzco/Ollantaytambo (TBD which) 6 days later.

I'd love to get some input on how to spend my time in Lima/Cuzco/Sacred Valley between when I land and when I start trekking (and yes, I know some of that time is for acclimation). Also any accommodations (nothing too fancy or the wife will get jealous)/food you especially enjoyed.

Post trek is just a night in Aguas Calientes, back to Cuzco, and then home.

Which one are you listening to now? Discworld is my favorite series.

Wow, lots of advice! Thanks all, great list of places to investigate!

Man, you guys wouldn't believe how long it took me to make this space backdrop for my Lego in that cube. I'm not an arts and crafts guys, and it was so painful. cardboard, glue, construction paper, glitter, and holes. But I think it came out pretty good. It's neat because behind it is a Phillips Hues bulb, so I can change the color of the stars to whatever.

on topic: I see we still need an oc.

I've faded away from my steady cardio work, always happens...30 and up basketball league tipped off 3 weeks ago. Two games per week, usually running a solid 30-36 minutes per game. I'm beat by the end.

Two games ago, Wednesday of last week, had a mid-court collision and took a shoulder to the ribs on my right side. Still super painful when I cough, sneeze, laugh or do much of anything. Played through it last night, but my insides were screaming at me the whole time.

We have a bye tomorrow, and I'm out of town next Monday, so I've got until the 19th to rest up before I gotta play again. If it's still hurting by then, might have to get em checked out

Well, that makes me feel even worse. It's just caused more confusion. All the Mlast names coming to mind weren't from Jersey.

Only when Fuente was coaching the rest of the teams get to work
