"has a foot fetish. The audio book narrator, Jeff Hays, is absolutely brilliant and adds a lot toe the listening experience"

either i see what you did there....or this is the perfect typo!

I've actually been thinking about starting a Book thread because I've been really channeling my inner dork magic and getting into a few good fantasy series lately.

I've got a few other on my list I want to check out first, but I've heard great things about that series.

I was going to search a topic thread to post this, but maybe this is the right place, after all.

Anybody here reading/listening to Dungeon Crawler Carl? Book #7 releases today on Audible and I haven't been this excited about a book release since probably the Harry Potter books.

The premise is simple. LitRPG. Post-apocalyptic. A guy and his ex-girlfriend's cat enter a dungeon that's being televised across the galaxy, and they have to survive. The AI running the dungeon also has a foot fetish. The audio book narrator, Jeff Hays, is absolutely brilliant and adds a lot toe the listening experience.

Apparently the halftime audience the NFL is trying to appeal to is 18-30 year olds that listen to hip hop. You will never see foo fighters, metallica, Zac Brown, Dave Matthews, any modern country again. You are going to get processed auto tune garbage because the NFL is targeting those fans at the super bowl party. Most sports bars don't even turn the volume up for halftime. BTW- there is not a more overrated thing in sports and more artist turn it down than accept the invite.

You remember the good old days when "peak offseason" used to be discussing recruits, the occasional legal issue, and maybe a "cake or pie" debate? It's like losing both coordinators unlocked the quantum realm of "peak offseason" where I see 20 new posts in the OC thread about Looney Toons characters, but not a word about actual OC candidates. Maybe if we can get this one to 1K it will unlock a whole other level of quantum offseason weirdness. I am game to see.

I learned that Kendrick Lamar is from Compton, CA; that was the only lyric I could discern. I even went back yesterday and watched the youtube video with headphones on. Still, Compton was it. The dancing sperms (6:10 of the youtube vid) was...unique???; don't know what was going on there.

Loved UA's post on Xitter https://x.com/united/status/1888768826394726691

Maybe they get the best Super Bowl ad award...10+ million views for free!

Thanks! Will definitely check out some of those restaurants. I already had tivoli gardens on list at the very least to ride Rutschebanen (oldest operating coaster in europe) but am intrigued by the canal tour too

Marvin the Martian gets my vote for best supporting cartoon character.

When he pulls his water-filled pants up and all the water drains into his shoes would have me laughing so hard I was crying.

Thank you. I have resigned to trying to find humor in our current situation. All I can do at this point.

Have fun! I really liked Copenhagen, unfortunately I was there for a conference and then my wife and then 2 year old came up for just a couple of days since we were living in Germany at the time. It's been 7 years, but these places still exist. I went to a few other restaurants, mostly in the Meat Packing District, and everything I had was really good. Here's some suggestions of things I/we did:

Drinks/Food:
Mikkeller Warpigs Brewpub: Legit BBQ and outstanding beer (Flæsketorvet 25-37, 1711 København, Denmark)
Fermentoren: more of a dive bar kind of place, but outstanding selection of beer (Halmtorvet 29C, 1700 København, Denmark)
Taphouse: Great selection of beer (Lavendelstræde 15, 1462 København, Denmark)
TorvehallerneKBH-A food hall that has lots of options (Frederiksborggade 21, 1362 København, Denmark)

Things to do:
Tivoli Gardens: An amusement park type of place. It'll be fun for the kid
Den Bla Planet (Aquarium): Really great aquarium near the airport (Jacob Fortlingsvej 1, 2770 Kastrup, Denmark)
Canal tour-Can't remember who we went with, but it was really good

I'm sure others can offer more recommendations, but this is a start

"My trusty quarter staff (actually it's a buck and a quarter staff but I'm not telling him that)". Classic.

Feel like it could take a while for his system to mesh with our roster.

I'll tell you what. The strength comes back quickly. Post injury, I'm back to feeling good squatting 205. Been working my way back to from 135. Feeling good.

also, dead hangs were the fix for my shoulder.. for now at least

pain free push ups feel amazing

Bugs is on another level of cool, and there's no debate about it honestly.
