This just makes me flat out....well....sad. I had big hopes that Mike could be the right fit for us. I don't expect big things yearly, really, but to be competetive is mandatory . I really like the guy, but the question is who could make us better and how would they do that in today's game? At Virginia Tech? In the ACC, no less.

You can make that argument all you want, but I don't know how they graded Delane so high. He covered well sometimes and was an absolute liability others. Also, I don't know how good the grades are in terms of matching eventual contribution, but the grades that MaxAndCheese put in the transfer tracker looks like the grades are better by at least a little on average of most of the players that are coming in compared to who left. The exception is the O line and we were replacing the coach, so it's unfortunate. I haven't seen Altuner's grade yet, but hopefully that brings the incoming average up for that group as well.

I know you want better talent from the portal, but guys who've proven they can contribute in the P4 are looking to play at a blue blood if they can if they're coming from the rank and file P4, guys at the best programs that are proven contributors aren't going to want to go to a program that's a step down. We don't want guys who weren't contributing at better programs, so that leaves guys who weren't good at other rank and file P4 who did well that maybe we can offer more NIL money to or G5/FCS outstanding performers. I think it is what it is until we start winning games. And I think getting guys who performed well at those programs probably can be good enough to beat the bottom to mid tier ACC teams.

It was closer than it should have been, but only because of many PSU mishaps. Boise was clearly out talented from the opening snap. There wasn't a single point from the time PSU went up 14-0 in the 1st that I thought Boise would seriously win the game.

I can't stand pedo state for obvious reasons but I also can't stand boise. My experience with their fans at FedEx was horrible. Most entitled, whiny, arrogant fucktards i've ever encountered at a game. The only fans that may be worse are the ND St fans who purchase their hotel rooms to the national championship at least a year in advance.
Now to clarify my earlier drunken comment about Jeanty: I do think he's a heck of a RB and has uncanny balance especially after contact, however my point still stands- Barry was the greatest and deserves to have that record until the Earth blows up

CFP games 0-5 for me. Not compelling or interesting, ESPN just trying desperately to drum up ratings. Think this is just too long a season for college. I'm ready for it to be over but we've got 3 weeks to go still with this.
