They won by alot but the fouls and turnovers were pretty ugly. 21 personal fouls and 16 turnovers. Can't do that in ACC play and expect to win. Campbell just couldn't do anything with the ball.
I dont understand how every single team shoots lights out against us while it appears that our defense is really active.

They also played zero defense in second half around the perimeter. St Joes hit 15 of 32 three-pointers while the Hokies only managed 7 of 22 three-pointers. That's a 24 point spread on the perimeter.
This would be a tight game if SMU's QB didn't make some god awful decisions under pressure. You can tell coach told him to throw it away instead of forcing it after his 100th interception this game. 21 points off turnovers...yikes
Overall a solid team win today with lots of contributors and good bench engagement to the end.
I love this idea. I miss more of the opening weekend neutral site games.
The only issue I see with this format is the "name" teams are going to always be chosen.

Lots of guys quit on that team after the first loss. It was going for a championship or bust and we busted.

Yes and no. Jennings has absolutely been a mess but PSUs defensive front is mauling SMU.
Big part of the reason why Jennings keeps having happy feet.
SMU's complete inability to take care of the ball in the only reason this is not a game.
Jennings making plays all over the field. Too bad most of them are for PSU. 🙄🙄

They kept getting sucked off the perimeter trying to give help defense in the paint and St Joes was great at finding the open shooter. Another reason I think this squad would be better off using zone defense.
