Ben's Midwestern facts about Minnesota:
1) Minnesota has fewer lakes than Wisconsin
2) the majority of the states population lives in the MSP metro region
3) they're building more miles of Bus Rapid Transit than any other US city
The younger Herbstreit's path into Power 4 football follows older brothers Tye and Jake, who each played at Clemson as walk-ons.
Another one of Herbstreit's sons, Zak, is a walk-on tight end at Ohio State.
I mean, does it matter? Kid's getting a scholarship and to experience college football.
This is a solid matchup. Minnesota may be the best 7-5 team, having given some of the top teams in the country a run for their money. Virginia Tech, having done the same thing, will have it's work cut out.

No, with House settlement coming up we aren't eating any coaching buyouts (football HC/assistants or basketball). And we have already defunded basketball and CMY didn't find another job and leave town, so I think it's far more likely he just collects a paycheck and finishes out his contract then retires.
