Sand fleas are great baits for pompano and croaker in particular. Flounder love them also, and I found that if you dig enough of them up, you'll generally find just a few soft shelled fleas which are guaranteed a bite if you can keep them on the hook, and flounder do seem especially fond of them.
As for fishbites, every surf fisherman should have a bag of at least the bloodworm variety. Not only are they generally better than any frozen baits, way cheaper than live bloodworms and they don't go bad. If bluefish are in the surf, I like fresh cut mullet on a float rig and there are times that drum and even trout prefer shrimp to anything else.

A simple "no, and here's why" would suffice like it always has.

Frankly, because 99.9% of the time I don't have the time. It was simple to downvote, and unfortunately when I downvote people it's multiplied. From my perspective, complaining about a pet peeve for something that wasn't "clickbait" earned it.

I like to think that's more valuable than pennies from ads.

I have no idea what you're trying to say here. Ads don't move the needle financially for the site, so I'm not motivated to do clickbait, I never have been.

we were in good shape until LSU missed on a couple other prospects and put those funds towards Whitehead. One of those situations like the Safety who went to WVU.

Wow, Joe. I know you and I have had our differences in the past about being mod hammered for raising concerns about the community, but I really don't understand this one. A simple "no, and here's why" would suffice like it always has. I've got my issues just like we all do, but I care enough about the community here to speak up, and when folks care enough to bring up issues that are important to them, I like to think that's more valuable than pennies from ads.

The VT message board fighting over unfortunately timed responses to generically titled posts about quick breaking news and the minute differences in #sauces and #marinades.

Franklin has lost the fan base. We're back baby!

The elite crew put on another show yesterday with 6 goals between Messi, Mbappe, and Haaland. They all have above a 9 rating on FotMob for the tournament so far. Enjoy it!

No dog in the fight but I disagree.

If you're intending to click on the article no matter what then the title has as much info as it needs: Sauce is being shared on new AD. Having the name in it wouldn't matter then because you plan to click on it anyway.

If what the OP is saying is that the "old ways" was to put names in title so he doesn't have to click then thats false. Never been like that and doesn't serve the site which needs clicks.

I didn't think it was clickbait, personally. I clicked cause I saw the news already and wanted to see what my trusted TKP counterparts thought about it.

I was just surprised to see such a "nothing-burger" post get the mod-nuke that it distracted me from the actual commentary about the hire...maybe the nuke was "the noise" that started it all.

Anyways, excited to see what the future holds for VT athletics 🫡

It was me, and I had a fine day. I was at the gym during a power outage and a source let me know what was up so I figured I'd post and share. The title isn't clickbait, I make pennies on ads, and just tried to inform folks. Next time I won't.

And if you want to play Community Guidelines lawyer, bitching about thread you could just move on from, or more likely that you will click into anyways, is noise.

And no offense taken. 😂

Not sure who nuked you but informative titles is part of CGs. I think the one here is borderline but i tend to agree that including the name of the rumored (and now confirmed) AD in the thread title is useful

Provide a clear, sensible and descriptive title for your post. "Tyrod Taylor..." is not a clear descriptive title. "Tyrod Taylor to Play Entire Preseason Game" is.

No offense to the powers that be, but this post getting nuked tells me someone had a bad day. Aren't we not supposed to downvote (let alone mod nuke) opinions?

Regarding fund raising my main take away from the article above is that he found the right MBB coach, achieved success the school had not achieved before and most importantly then capitalized on fund raising immediately afterwards. I don't think you need to see huge numbers to believe he would be successful at it. you need to see an execution plan that worked and can be repeated.

I think Joe created the post before the announcement so it was just sauces. Could change it now that's it's been announced I guess. Make the official post Jeep!

Can we stop with the clickbait titles and just state what the hire is? :D Not a huge deal, just a pet peeve of mine wanting to stick to the old ways we did things on TKP.
