Wearing out their D though by running them all over the field chasing the spread offense and getting to the second level with our running game allows us to manage the game in the 4th quarter and put it out of reach.
After watching UNCs last couple of games, I am hoping I don't end up using the rally cap, salsa on the ceiling, scare the dog, the kids and the neighbors approach with 30 seconds left. I mean.. it works but it's just painful.

We have given VT their worse loss they've ever had. Hopefully we beat them by 172 Saturday. But, I will stick to my original prediction. ;) They're a joke.
Other highlights include
We are superior to every team left on the schedule
Virginia Tech has played:
-Liberty which they actually lost the first half to.
The last one especially confuses me, considering we were up 24-13 at halftime.

A) stay at 8, remove the cross-over, and realign the divisions
OR
B) add a 9th conference game

Going fast for the sake of going fast doesn't matter. As long as our offense scores, they could be snapping with 1 second left on the clock for all I care.

# | Teel Time, ACC Athletic Directors to vote on 8 or 9 game conference schedule Friday. Okay let me start by saying that I don't really have a strong preference either way for 8+2 or 9+1. I will say that I dislike the current set up because there are teams in the same conference which we don't play more than once in a decade and that just seems stupid to me. The 8+2 doesn't alleviate that issue but the 9+1 creates unbalanced conference schedules so I kind of view those two options as having pros and cons that push.
I disagree with the sentiment that going to 8+2 isn't going to make scheduling P5s any more complicated. It is. Will it be impossible? No. Can we (VT) survive under that format? Yeah, I think we'll be fine. Whit has proven that he can play the long game. He plans ahead extremely well and he builds in contingencies for himself. I think we'd be fine in an 8+2 format. But there are other teams in the conference which may suffer. Especially teams like Wake which will have a hard time finding other P5 teams interested in playing them.
If the B1G, Pac 12, and Big 12 all go to 9+1 formats (if they haven't already) that seriously reduces the number of P5 teams that ACC teams will be able to find to meet their 2 game quotas. Especially since you can't count on every other P5 conference lining up to play all the ACC teams. I don't think Stanford is going to be very interested in a Home-and-Home series with Syracuse, for instance.
And no scoring by the opposing team at all for the remainder of the year.

they had for the safety, i.e., taking risks.
Secondary isn't as good as stats suggest. Each of the corners has had their bad moments, which happens. Fortunately for us not a ton of them have been taken advantage of.
