I don't think Fuente would have made the #25 jersey a thing if he was trying to outshine Beamer. When the reporter at halftime asked him about special teams play, he said he was just trying to build on Beamer's legacy.

At least we get to play Miami at Lane for the first time since 2012!

I think the nature of tech46's post and some things you have acknowledged before about politics/economics drives the doubt. The public has to take the nuggets of good science slathered in bacon grease, lard and frosting from the media /government /international organizations, who we can't trust to be impartial or have our best interests in mind already. It begins to sound like a fad diet based on a kernel of truth, so cumbersome you eventually throw the whole book out and forget the wisdom that may have been on page 1.

I remember after they hired him during that summer being excited when him and his assistants were talking in interviews about the attitude and sense of urgency he wanted to bring to this team. It seems to be all coming together. (Insert evil laugh while slowly wringing hands together)

You're right - updated.

Week 2 just never actually happened.

Week 4* and Bye in Week 5*

Thanks for posting these! I love how we went from multiple games under 30% to all games above 40%.

Fuente is playing this perfectly. A new coach has to earn his accolades, not demand them, particularly when the former coach is a legend. Fuente's work has been fantastic so far, but even Fuente knows that it would be foolish to try to put any distance between himself and Beamer. My god, Fuente has won a grand total of 3 games so far, as compared to decades of success that Beamer gave us. All Fuente has to do is keep improving the program and he will be rewarded greatly.

Time will pass, and one day Beamerball will pass into obscurity, but not for a long while.

Special Teams will always be Beamerball, just like the defense is LPD featuring DBU.

Fuente can have the nickname for the offense any time we come up with one.

"I was definitely ecstatic when (Fuente) announced (the No. 25) was mine," Stroman said. "I talked to the (punt) return team and they were wanting me to get in there with it on. It really worked out." I'll say it did and I believe he was really aware of it because as he went through the end zone (0:30 of the film clip) he was immediately pointing to the "25" on his jersey. Way to go, Stroman, for the incredible return and honoring Coach Beamer in the moment of it all.

Forgot it, or said "F*** it, YOLO!" like i did? Totally worth it. (Ow my face...)

It's weird to have so many offensive highlights at this point of the season!

Something something 12" x 12" clear plastic bags or a small clutch is also allowed.

We really need that same ferocity and dominance for every team in the Coastal. Those have been gut-wrenching losses last few years. Vengeance!

Michael Brewer was at the game, and didn't have to throw an interception to guarantee the win.
