CJ Reavis is there, that should help rationalize it somewhat.
When we were up by five scores? Yes, admittedly, the defense backed off a bit. 17 garbage points worth.
The defense forced ECU to try to win the game through the air. We gave up 2 TDs on busted coverages, and aside from that we basically owned them the entire game.

The best part of that run was the offensive linemen looking for people to block at the goal line. Gotta love the effort

Their strength was throwing not running. Not sure how stopping the run is baiting them. They picked apart the zone and beat us when we were in man.
I was stunned the QB held onto the ball. He got blasted.
