Too bad our Alma Mater is nearly impossible to sing for the average person. If there's one VT song I could change it would be that one. For instance Ohio State has one heck of an Alma Mater. Love that we did something to push the lyrics of our fight song though.

Im imagining Bud at some point tonight sat back in his office, kicked his feet up on his desk and tossing a football in the air to himself...just grinning.
Most dominating VT win I can remember in a while....please inflict this will onto ECU.
I was saying earlier that playing Foster's defense (who were firing on all cylinders tonight) against Loeffler's offense (which looked about like I remember) is like when you play on an intramural/rec league or video game team or whatever with someone who continually plays in a way that doesn't seem like it's right, but the luckily the rest of the team holds them up and supports them in real games. Then they start shit talking and giving out pointers to you and saying things like "I know I could take you if we were to just play each other 1v1 bc you're doing this all wrong, but this is just practice and we don't go for real here", but you keep your mouth shut because you don't want to start something on your team..
Then, finally, you get a chance to play them for real, and within the first few plays they start to realize "oh no...i was the one who was wrong...so so wrong..."
Or they just say they had a bad day, but whatever, you know it's not true.
Steve Addazio knew that this was the price he'd have to pay for hiring Scot Loeffler
I think the hype train has officially left the station. It's a new era.

There are! As a bonus, a few of the performing groups on campus have been singing them over the past 5 or 6 years as well (both a cappella groups and the VT Mens Chorus), which is fun.
The words are definitely dated though haha...lines like "Just see our men so big and active", "We know our ends and backs are stronger" were always my favorites.
Bronco agrees with this philosophy
Scot Loeffler stunk up the joint like he did against Wake Forest . He's BC problem now.

I don't think that Addazio is a terrible coach but hiring Loeffler was/is not going to help his job security one bit.
Crazy to think that Addazio was a hot name for coach openings just two years ago.

That second part cannot be said enough. We made it look easy against a legitimate good defense today. We didn't need home run shots, we didn't need trick plays, we just lined up and marched the ball all over the field on them and they couldn't stop us. And then we put our second string in and they marched right down the field, too. Boston College could not stop us, and they were a legitimate Top 5 defense last year.
This was the third game this team has played under this regime. Imagine how good this team can be with a year of experience under their belts. Imagine this team with a QB who has spent 2+ years learning our system. And then realize we play in the Coastal.
We might break 100 against the Hoos this year.
Why do we lose to them?
