Score wasn't as close as the game actually was due to fumbles, but sloppiness was to be expected. Pretty much every team breaking a new coach has a rough first game but you can see the potential is there. On to the Vols in Bristol.
Also, Isaiah Ford is good at football.
Even better would be next weekend. Specifically, at the Battle of Bristol.
Who am I to disagree with The Sabre?
Me too! Best halftime ever!
Would just love to see the SEC fall on their face this opening weekend
So what can we deduce... If we have an offense that can score more than 31 points every game over the course of the season, history shows that team will win 10 or more games in that season.
In 19 of 25 games Justin Fuente was head coach of Memphis, they scored more than 31 points.

This QB for Wisconsin is pretty interesting to watch. Playing like the good Brett Favre out there.
They'd probably lose to Liberty just like they're about to lose to U of R
Agree. I appreciated that as well.
Wisky is straight up man-balling LSU. Let's see if they can keep it up.
Why bother?
I may watch part of the game, if they keep losing.
I think this game was our best case scenario. A few things went wrong. Players bounced back. Backups got some game experience. Won the game.
I can't say this strongly enough: DO NOT GET ON 81 to go south of Blacksburg, you will be sitting for hours!
Oh man. If Richmond shuts out LOLUVa, I'm buying their coach a drink
UR now up 13-0 after a 95 yard drive.
13-0 Richmond.
Touchdown Spiders!
See, "knowing how to talk to the media" is exactly what I call coach speak.
I only saw the end, but Miss. St. had a chance to win on a 28 yard field goal and missed.
It's the little gestures that reveal what he's about.
Le Sabre was doing a whole lot of shit talking during the first half of our game. Look at 'em now.
He knows how to talk to the media.
Also, he makes intelligent statements, and is always looking for ways to improve. I'd call him "guardedly optimistic".
what'd I miss??
Now we just need Richmond to step on the gas and build a decent lead over the hood. 6-0 and forcing 2 fumbles is just not good enough.

That late hit/targetting call on the Richmond player was total BS! He left his feet to hit the QB way before he released the ball and he hit him in the chest with his forearms. That ejection could change the game.
