Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if UT brings it back solely on skill and the fact that their skill/depth should be about outlast Appy, but I'm hoping for something like a 27-25 win so they keep their ranking, and then Ekanem, Mihota, and future Piesman Settle just blow up their O-line and any hope they had going forward.

Tennessee may rally tonight, but the biggest concern going forward is its offensive line. Appalachian State consistently penetrated the backfield, pressuring quarterback Joshua Dobbs and preventing Jalen Hurd from getting started. Vols allowed 23 sacks and averaged 4.7 yards per rush in 2015. Tennessee will face much bigger defensive lines the rest of the season, so this needs to be fixed. -Andy Rittenburg, ESPN

Defensive lines giving you trouble? It is a shame we aren't known for our defense /s

We are not undersized this year. Maybe if we leave Mook in for power teams at one position, but if we bring in Shegog we are not our historical undersized anymore. See Mihota debate, Edmonds bros photo, and let it Settle in.

soo keep breaking down and slide on his belly until colliding with the returner's legs

or maybe he could have eased up off the full sprint toward the vulnerable return man that he wanted to punish with a vicious hit because his team is stinking up their home opener.

helmet to helmet hits like that are inexcusable in today's game.

I love me some Chaos Mountain. I live about 5 miles from there. There is never a dull brew. Everything they make is interesting and most are delicious. I'll be headed there tomorrow evening to fill a couple of growlers for the game. Always one Squatch Ale and whatever else tastes good. I'll throw some turkey legs on the smoker early in the am. Some decent pretzels and I'm all set.

Plenty of people toss footballs in grassy areas; no one cares about that. The problem was so often you would see kids running in front of (moving) cars in parking lots and roadways. In a bustling tailgate lot, that's a recipe for disaster.

The part of me that loves college football chaos is thoroughly enjoying this game.

The part of me that wants Tech to get an upset over a top 10 SEC team is concerned.

If we win we will hear excuses whether they have a reason for them or not. Period. Think of them as a band-aids on the gaping wounds we have inflicted on their soles and give them LOLUVA fan level pity.

I've been drinking coffee to make sure I'm awake to both watch the game and get some work done, but I don't think the coffee was necessary... or that much work is getting done.
