I had no idea we had so many Lynchburg Hokies here! These all had me cracking up.
I find that many of the armed forces academies have awesome alternate looks lately.
That's true. Every year since 2008 we have had an orange jersey for orange effect except for 2010 and 2015. Though I would have expected an orange jersey to be shown when we had the new uniforms released.
For now, I'll stay cautiously optimistic that we won't wear an orange jersey or pants and then melt down into anger and sadness when I see an orange jersey.
Looks like a high school uniform. A good one, mind you, but it's not my style.

It's football season!
I'm worried we will lose but only because I'm from Lynchburg and I shudder to think what LU fans would think of their team. They already think they're a FCS powerhouse when in all reality they're *maybe* the fourth best FCS team in the state behind schools like JMU, Richmond, UVA, and William and Mary.
Hell, even ODU who started a football program in 2009 is already in FBS.
One reason to be happy to see the donught in drills.
Effffffffffffffffff. There are two places I eat at every time I visit Blacksburg: SSII and Mike's. Terrible news for an outstanding restaurant with delicious food.

I feel the same way in regards to trusting Mihota (and not trusting Dooley). I think he will be really solid for us this year.
Probably one of the most underrated places in Blacksburg, at least during my time there. Their burgers were very good, but my go to was always a calzone. Those things were huge and delicious. Definitely will be missed.

# | ESPN's Uni Watch article is out and guess who gets the banner pic? Air Force looks AWESOME in my opinion but I've always been partial to the A-10 and other planes with the shark teeth.
I thought the burgers were good, but not amazing. I was much more disappointed when Backstreet's closed. Hopefully, another small business will hop in there, not a chain restaurant.
It essentially boils down to fratty social media giants like Barstool, Total Frat Move, and Old Row turning it into some kind of joke that makes little to no sense.
However, I am now 30 years old and use these three sites to keep me young and hip. It allows me to speak in terms that the younger people I work with can understand. My wife hates it, but I actually enjoy running around shouting "Dicks out for Harambe" and not having any clue what or why I am doing so.
PS. Turner Gill doesnt think Saturdays are for the boys.

This would have been a better choice.
The score doesn't worry me nearly as much as what we look like. If we blow out Liberty but we're sloppy and undisciplined doing it, then there is reason to be worried. If we look sharp and execute well but don't score as much as we could simply because the coaches stick to a vanilla gameplan, that's a different story and no reason for concern.
For example, the key takeaway from French's analysis of Fuente's run game was how unpredictable Memphis was; they ran 20+ different plays out of the same formation to keep opposing defenses guessing. In order for VT to duplicate that success, each player will need to carry out his assignment even when he's not involved in the play, whether by selling a fake or blocking away from the play, etc. If we do those things well then the points will come. It might not be enough to beat the viles, who unfortunately look like a legit top-10 team, but it would certainly bode well for the rest of the schedule.
Thoughts? Basically we the Hokie Nation are going have to wait and see. But the unknown to us steps into the light on Saturday and after reviewing some of his youtube highlights at Trinity Valley CC, I am optimistic Evans can get get it done and feel Coach Fuente knows what he is doing. While some here have indicated that they are not sold on his overall arm strength, in Fuente's system he is going to surprise. His legs and quickness too. He's bringing far more to the table than that warrior Michael Brewer had to offer. Overall, Evan's team last year, TVCC, had impressive team speed, so once he is fully comfortable with facing bigger defenses, he's going to rock. I'm betting the house that with him this team is going to find a groove and come along just fine.
TVCC 2015 highlights I wonder who the receiver #8 is. I want him as a Hokie.
