I didn't realize it but fencing must be pretty popular here in Russia. They have around 5 or 6 channels dedicated to the olympics and one of them is ONLY fencing.

I float between here and the TSL site a lot and the back and forth for news updates. The bickering over on the TSL message board is what drove me to quitting my subscription there. I know he was using a sarcastic tone but I don't want to see this site go down that same path. Sorry if I had a knee jerk response here but I hate the two camps where one is looking at everything the new staff is doing as a validation of how stale CFB's recruiting had gone. While the other is looking at the still steady drain to outside schools of the Virginia 4 and 5 stars high school talent as proof that CJF is no better than Frank on the recruiting trail. Again, I just want that crap to stop and us to enjoy the hell out of the ride without all the looking over the shoulder. If you think I went overboard in my reaction, I'll back off and wait a few hours before responding in the future to gauge if I am being too judgmental...... I mean it's not like anyone was saying we should have brought Rich Rod in to replace Coach Fuente yet.......
Wonder why that is and if one is forthcoming. He has a good tape and seems to be very interested in the Hokies according to his comments to scout.com:

Not sure if you've covered this before, but in light of the 1 game suspension and the video we've seen since spring:
1. Is Adonis a clear starter
2. Is his position on the field certain
3. Who starts in his place for Liberty?
4. ... too soon to tell?
She actually went to Duke, but she did win that one.
She lost to a French fencer in the round of 16 though.

My sentiments exactly. An O-line that works well together and performs makes the rest of the "showy" offense look exceptional.
Huge and can move anybody, just what Fuente offense demands. I can't wait to see all the pieces in action!
This is the stuff that makes not mind him walking the sidelines as a potential future head coach.
Kudos to Conte for making the right decision! Character always wins.
He never really had that bad of a rep... he talked/talks a lot of trash on the field, but I don't think he ever got into legal issues and I can't think of any dirty plays on the field. I can't think of any negative comments from teammates (just opponents), and I've heard nothing by positive comments from fans.
There can only be ONE (way to solve all of this fencing confusion)!
Be interesting to see how much of a role Wilson has this season

The offense is going to hinge on how well these guys can play together. The QB is important, but running lanes, and pass protection is going to help a lot. How long has it been since we have actually felt good about the O-line? I think everybody needs to remember to thank Stacy for helping to find and develop these young men for Vice to turn in to a unit in the new offense.
I found DHall to be a terrific ambassador of Tech even when he first came out to the pros. Too many people took his bravado regarding his on the field skills as typical of his character. Not true. Any lock down corner has got to have a high level of self confidence bordering on arrogance if they are going to be successful. He backed up his brag on the field.
In person, he was an extremely polite and respectful young man who always showed consideration for the fans and took the time to meet and speak with any hokies he'd run into no mater where. I was one who met him with my family in an Atlanta restaurant. He saw us in Tech gear and approached us. He teased my daughter that wearing a Tech sweatshirt meant she was committed to going there and she assured him she would.
The take away from all this is never believe the story you hear about persons under the media microscope. Reserve judgement till you meet them yourself or get a personal observation from someone you trust.

That is the point he was making, hence the sarcastica font. I think we would all agree with what you are saying, though there are likely other reasons we fell behind in recruiting in the last few years. Failure to keep with with the increased staff sizes, trying to keep with a smaller recruiting footprint, lower W/L ratio, lack of internet presence. It does not mean people do not appreciate or love Beamer, but it also makes it fair if some want to compare what is happening now to what got us behind. I gave a you a leg for agreeing with everything you said 100% except the first sentence.

I wouldn't confuse this with the GT/Navy triple option. Those are systems with three backs that can run the ball on any given play. Fuente's system has the run, QB run, or a sweep/pass from the same formation.
