The game needs to stay in Charlotte. The location just works. If any certain group is offended, they can always just close the gender assigned bathrooms, and install Port-A-Jons throughout the venue. They're unisex, and universal in their appeal... everybody hates them.

Talent AND coaching. The coaching part is hard to quantify like a recruiting class. But it makes Saban all the more impressive for what he's done.

And makes Miami all the more pathetic for being the only team to have a number 1 class since 2000 to not appear in a title game with those players. Think I read that on 247 or ESPN.

you can't just take out the last three years because they were really good and better than expectations...that's like disregarding the '99 season when looking at Beamer's tenure because they never reached those heights again. the fact of the matter is that it happened and happened for a prolonged period

I was hoping for a Celebrity Death Match! That show was so awesome back in the day on MTV.

Well I definitely understand why you're trying to get out South Carolina. I'm in Charleston and the public schools here are so bunk. Unless you can fork out the coin for really expensive private schools, it's tough sledding finding a good place for your kids to learn. Growing up in Fairfax County, I took my primary and secondary schooling for granted. Boy how perspectives change.

This is a media guide handed out to, well, the media for the ACC days. It is online for everyone, but not something that is available to buy. You would have to have an inside connection to get one, presumably. Gameday programs are still handed out every home game.

Some of that may have been due to people leaving their assigned seats to go to NE (which blows my mind. As a student I always snuck out of North so I could go to east and actually tell what was going on). I suspect some of that was also some ticket buying shenanigans where folks bought tickets just so we could say it was as sellout. And some of that was probably tickets left unsold on stubhub or something. Guess we'll never know.

How into it is Tony Bennett if he's coaching in Virginia, but left his heart in San Francisco?

I think there is a legitimate comparison to be made....but you have to kinda disregard the last three years of Bennett's tenure....which has been spectacular. Even his tourney loses have been to MSUx2 and an SU team that got wicked hot and then went to the final four.

But disregarding Bennett's last three years is reasonable since it has been off the charts even by his own expectations. And any UVA fan that thinks this will keep up will get their heart broken. I think there is an opportunity for them to take a significant step back this year.

Playing for Buzz might be more fun, in a Forrest Gump sort of way.
