Similar Story: I was at the bank setting up a new safety deposit box and was chatting with the banker. He asked me where I went to college, I told him VT and a woman on her way out the door overheard us, turned around and said "Go Hokies" and left. Thought that was pretty cool.
Interestingly enough, you are 20 days older than me, and I just moved to Winston-Salem a little over 20 days ago. I can't help you with Greensboro houses, but I know exactly what you are going through. Taking a year to figure it out will be nice. We haven't found the right house yet and it's been brutal, but we are hanging in there.
I'm sure we have crossed paths already through engineering school. Greensboro and Winston-Salem are great cities to be in. Congratulations on the new Job!

Yeah, we've been to the Orange Bowl as many times too, but 3 of those came in a 4 year span, and sort of run together.
Yeah that was something kind of cool about the Sugar Bowl: there was at least one generation (in college years) between each appearance so they spread out over a couple decades and had the potential to stick out to four different demographics. Not so much with the orange bowl.
Maybe someday in the future we can do this again and ask "who did we play in the national championship game?"

It might be interesting to see a survey on the Chick-fil-a/Peach Bowl, since we've been there about as much as the Sugar Bowl, and there hasn't really been any controversy around those. I think its gotta be Littlefinger. Sansa is learning to play the game a bit, and she kept the tidbit on him having the Vale knights to herself. Now she realizes she might need them.
Doubtful its Tyrion, simply because she has no idea where he is.
Howland Reed is also unlikely. Pretty much for the same reason as Tyrion. A tidbit shared in the books but not in the show (at least not yet), is that the "capital" of the crannogmen is really really hard to find because it basically is a floating island in the swamps. So seems like it wouldn't be possible to send a raven even if she wanted to.
The city retracted when the furniture manufacturing went over seas, and the schools had to force bus for racial diversity, with kids in nice neighborhoods on the bus for 30 minutes to go to a school in a bad part of town. People with school aged kids stop moving there, or moved away to areas where they were not bussing, and made the problem worse. Less families with income and young kids means less leisure activities are available there. (though NW High Point is more like Greensboro)
The question about The Hound is who is at the other end of his hatred?
Is it his brother? Very real possibility. Brienne? Sure, I could see that. Arya? I doubt that. The Lannisters? He seemed to not really hate them before.
I take this episode to be a sign that his violence has been re-energized and he will likely release that violence in the direction of his hatred. Maybe it is the BwB in the immediate aftermath of Ray's killing, but he's hated something enough to keep him alive through all this. Time to do something about it.

East Forsyth County (Kernersville area) is a little cheaper than Northwest Guilford, largely because the schools are preferred in Guilford (less diverse because of school choice in Forsyth, more AP offerings, and if you go k-12 you get college money). Oak Ridge and Colfax are in NW Guildford, and near the airport area and traffic. Much of that area is on septic, so there are larger lots with more space, but it is close enough to both Greensboro and Winston you can do either. NC over builds their roads, so not much traffic issues anyway. Jamestown and Adams Farm are both massive housing communities, with lots of young families, but are on the opposite side of Greensboro from the airport (about 10-15 minutes more commute). The elementary schools in that area are great, but the High School's in the NW are still considered better academically. Colfax is 20 minutes from shopping or downtown High Point, Greensboro, or Winston-Salem. and there is a great park (Triad Park) right there, but does not have the huge neighborhoods. Most good dining is near Downtown Greensboro or Winston, so 20 minutes, but with an infant you are probably not doing much fine dining, and there are a lot of good casual options everywhere. A community pool is a great way to meet other families, and could be a good way to narrow choices. The triad Alumni association is a good way to meet other Hokies, but wearing the gear works too. I had 4 people I don't know say Go Hokies to me at the W/S (Winston-Salem) wine festival Saturday for wearing a VT shirt. The Meetup community is fairly active here for meeting people with similar interests as well.
I, too, recalled the sister part. But apparently that was only referring to how he was familiar with the California area, as she passed away in 2012.

Of the relatives that live in Southern California, a first-cousin who shares the name Bill (his last name is Kirsenbaum, and both were named after their grandfather) got his law degree at UCLA and lives in Calabasas.
Roth's older sister, Linda, also lived with her family in Laguna Beach before losing a recent battle with cancer. Some of her treatment was at UCLA Medical Center. Roth's father, who had been dealing with dementia, was also living in an assisted facility in Reseda before passing away.
Although, I think the main reason he went out there was this:
"I'm a huge fan of In-N-Out," he admitted. "They don't have them in Virginia."
Miller, again, can vouch for that.
"When I saw his name on the phone caller ID last week, I just picked up the phone and said, 'So, what, you want me to send you a double-double overnight?' Miller recalled.
"Every time he'd get off a plane here, he'd head right over to the In-N-Out. Seeing the ocean and being in a big city could be great thing for Bill, but In-N-Out really could be another one of the main reasons he's coming."
I still disagree. I think he's a genius and it's all planned/choreographed. I don't think he's letting his emotions get the best of him, I just think he's very Frank Underwood-esk. I personally enjoy watching his antics from a far.
