Of 110 members of the Key Players Club, only 33 chose to take the 5 seconds necessary to participate in this poll. I'm hurt, frankly.

I chuckled at this.

I said Michigan because it stood out to me the most: both most recent and most controversial. I had totally forgotten that we played Auburn in the Sugar, even though that was the only one that happened while I was a student. Both the Texas and FSU Sugar Bowls were before my time as a student, but I hear more about the Texas game because it was the one that put us on the map.

Nicely done on the survey, 07me, thanks for it.

But then how much are you spending at the bar 4 days a week. Your going to save on tv subscription only to pour it back out at the bar (not sure of pun intended) and probably spend more. I'd rather sit at home where I can pause it to take a piss drink what beer or drink I want for way less and sit in a comfortable spot. Plus I don't have to deal with people cheering for other teams or trying to listen to the VT game when Ole Miss is playing LSU or something.

The one with the seal also says "Tech" at the bottom (or one of them does).

I don't think it's Maryland, I'd remember that. Maybe I'm confusing the HokieBird with the "VT" one.

Evans is making himself really easy to hate. He spends all of his time on Twitter bragging about the ratings and how they're so much better than the old Top Gear and when the ratings went downhill he went on saying that ratings don't matter. I would say he's a bit egotistical (probably an understatement). The guy has to realize that there would not be a Top Gear for him to host without Clarkson/Hammond/May. Enough with the jabs at the previous guys seeing as how they did all the work.

Edit to add some of the tweets:

Well you're talking about ~$3 million one time or possibly the same or a little less yearly for 10-20 years. I'll take the long term security. Best case, ESPN screws up and has to pay out and then the ACC immediately signs a TV network contract. Pipe dreams are rolling at 2 in the morning.

Don't we want there to not be an ACC Network before the end of the month, so ESPN has to pay out a large sum of money to the ACC?

Either way, doesn't ESPN have to be involved with an ACC Network anyway, since they control most, if not all, of the ACC broadcast rights for the next decade or so?

Conferences love the networks because the contracts are ridiculously ludicrous and allows them to print money

The network providers (ESPN, Fox sports) hate them because they are now realizing they will never make money off the deals.

ACC is in a bad spot because we need the network to compete but are finding it difficult to find a suitor because the facade of the conference dedicated network being a cash cow has crumbled.

No kidding with the ego. The first episode alone... First he has one of the Top Gun pilots pretend to vomit after a ride with Sabine to make himself not look so bad when the footage of himself doing that airs later this year, then he completely rigs the challenge to have LeBlancs car practically fail from the start all the while trying real hard to keep reminding us he had nothing to do with it... Mmmmhmmmm

What made Top Gear good was that the presenters cared to make a good show, not to win challenges. They didn't care how foolish they looked in any situation and most of the time actively looked to capitalize on self degradation humor. Evans so far has shown he simply has too much ego for this platform and from everything I've read about his personality, this was to be completely expected.

Yeah I can't wait. New Top Gear has potential but not with Chris Evans at the helm. I know it's early but I really am starting to not like his style at all. LeBlanc seems fine during the recorded bits and i have a feeling he could be an excellent primary host, with Sabine and one or both of the guys from Extra Gear, and it would be a genuinely good show. Just Evans is doing his best to ruin the whole atmosphere.

Saw they lost 1.6 million viewers from week 1 to week 2 and that was only in the UK. Not good.

Just extrapolating on a couple of the points
