Those stories were around in 1975 when I was on campus.
Absolutely! Miles 236, 1975-77.
Guh. Here's hoping he plays well 14 games out of the year.
That's it right there. Use your college education to gain a second career.
Maybe Facyson late.
You forgot to take out a large amount in taxes.
$2M / 3 years is just under $700k per year. Fed taxes alone would drop this somewhere close to $500k. Then state income taxes and the agents cut drop that to probably under $400k per year.
So I'd guess it's closer to $1.2M over 3 years. If they get 3 years..
So that's $1.2mil to last 50 years.
The professionals shouldn't have given him the choice.
I was worried he'd go to the Ravens and I'd have to hate him. Now he's a Redskin and I can just pity him.
"The Hokies have had a DB drafted 17 out of the last 18 years."
Who goes next year?
I get that and I know it's to a lesser degree, but you don't let a possibly concussed guy go back out there, even if he's insisting on it.
Pretty much. This way, even though we have to pay more for facilities and such, our camp will be 100% VT-focused. We won't be splitting anything with ODU or UVA or any other school that comes. It will be entirely a Virginia Tech camp. I like it.

(No, I can't explain why they have Sonny Utz listed twice in the 1965 draft-he played a year for the Cowboys, then Edmonton.)
Curious why you think he's not a good fit.
Bummer he got passed up so many times for less talented dbs, but glad the skins took a chance. Hopefully the knee continues to get stronger. #httr #dbu
Gruden thinks Fuller "is too talented a player to pass up." Said he likely will miss rookie camp, but could be ready for OTAs.
Same here. To an extent, I wonder if Kendall's injury contributed to that sealing play. Barrett may have gotten a little overly excited that he could make a play in that direction. It looked like a completely botched route or mis-timed throw that led to Riley's pick-6. I always thought there was a psychological element there - under pressure and a new opportunity might present itself, but it backfired for the Buckeyes.
But his next sentence was a bunch of bullshit.

My guess is that Fuente is sending a message, planting a flag of sorts. "Oh that's cool that you're running a camp, but VT won't be the school that just happens to show up. We're doing our own and it's going to be awesome." I can see pros and cons to both approaches, my guess is this is a bit of a calculated power play on our part. We're not going to be also-rans in the state; we're going to own it.
Agreed. I guess Bobby Wilder and ODU think they run the 757 and everyone has to go through them to have a camp down there. Screw that. Let Bronco and Co. set up shop there, we will just go straight to the high schools and set up camp.
I loved Urban Meyer's comments during the draft (he was on NFL Network) When Kendall got drafted Urban said: "We faced him the last 2 years. He dominated us 2 years ago. When they beat us at home, he shut down our receivers. He's got tremendous cover skills."

# | ODU to Host Penn State, Maryland and Michigan in June; Coach Wilder Said He Would Call Coaches Fuente and Mendenhall to Attend Wait why is this not the best thing to do as coaches? If those other schools are going to be at ODU, why wouldn't we want to be at the same place?
This whole thing is confusing to me.
You assume his knee will improve.
I'm not too worried. ACL happens and players return to form. There's a big question when it comes to microfracture surgery. He probably would have fallen much farther if it wasn't the Redskins team doctor that fixed him up.
I'm delighted that he's on my squad.

I dunno, sounds like a great way to make friends to me.
