Right thing for ODU would have been for Wilder to realize he wasn't going to win recruiting battles against VT and UVA. That for him to get "referrals" from our coaches when they see a kid close to VT/UVA quality would be more valuable.

But he brings in schools that will steal our top recruits. We say FUVM every time we see ODU in state out of state basketball football wrestling u name it. We end up having to take kids that would have normally gone to ODU because we miss on kids that go to out of state poachers. Or worse yet, we get out kids OOS, and the in state kids don't get coverage and end up not getting offers because we're focused else where.

No idea if he is an idiot or a genius, but Wilder is a fail here. Best thing for ODU would have been a far less adversarial relationship. Hope we never schedule them in anything ever again. FU ODU.

Yea. Medical privacy is pretty important. I really don't think exceptions should be made for collegiate athletics. If the doctor is not doing his job with the best interests of the patient, then that's a different issue.

Not sure I can handle many more games like the first two.

Read the link I posted directly above your comment, as well as several others in this thread. UNC is facing lack of institutional control, which is as bad as it gets and affects everything.

I'm confused and this pisses me off. Players have admitted to taking bogus classes (and have sued for not receiving proper education), yet they remove football and basketball from the amended NOA.

And the epic fireworks battles (engineers can build some kick-ass explosives), sawing off one guy's doorknob and supergluing it to his door jamb, tossing a QP of weed out the window to an eagerly awaiting accomplice while an RA was trying to bust down the door, etc. You could smoke anything and everything in the dorms back then.

My freshman year, I actually crashed my '69 GTO into a tree in a Dean's front yard on the side of Miles after coming home from a frat party. I was hammered, but somehow the drunken driving charge didn't stick in Montgomery County court.

Ahh...the relatively easy, carefree 70's. Life was so much easier then...

thanks....i can't un-see that now....thankfully:

1. i don't tweet, twitter...whatever...
2. if i did, i wouldn't follow her...

since Fireman posted more tweets below, all i see above her avatar is a balloon with 'wut' in it.......that about sums it up......

They are basically charging UNC with lack of institutional control.

The WBB thing is a just a self-reported throwaway (some might say a smokescreen or sacrificial lamb) by UNC; the NCAA isn't going to not report it (double negative intended), but just because it is #1 on the list and just because WBB is the only sport specifically mentioned in a finding doesn't necessarily mean anything.

It's amazing how people with no private information -- thankfully due to HIPAA - can state with such certainty what did & didn't happen and what should or shouldn't have happened.
