I usually dont comment during the offseason, but this article really struck a nerve.

Former players are what made this program so special, hell, its what made a teenager from Atlanta like myself venture up to Blacksburg for college. Even if just a few players are upset, which doesnt seem to be the case, something needs to be done. Im thrilled to see the steps already being taken. It appears that some folks in the right places feel the same was as us fans.

How did it come to this? Does that even matter.... Maybe we find out why, maybe we dont. Do we need to know? I cant answer that, but I will say that it would be nice to know so that it never happens again.

Thanks to those who have put time into bringing this issue to light. These athletes put the time and energy into making this program what it is today, lets hope they receive the treatment and respect they see fit.

-side note- this will benefit recruiting greatly, if done correctly.

I have no idea how anyone could do architecture and football, at least at Tech.

Probably a good plan for the Vandals. At least ESPN can't include them in the Bottom 10 anymore. Who knows, the FBS playoff could be right around the corner.

The problem for them is that other than the Mountain West (which they can't get in because Boise) there aren't any G5 conferences on the west coast. People have talked about the Big Sky bumping up eventually, but that's a long way out.

I'm glad they found a system that works for them, but that's just not a feasible schedule for most students.

During my years in the landscape architecture program, our scheduled studio time (when our professors came in) for was M/W/F, 1:30-5:15. I usually had at least 1 class elsewhere on campus on those mornings. And Tues/Thurs I generally had 2 classes during the day. My graduating class was somewhat unique (we were small & only graduated 7 in the spring semester), but during our final year each of us had jobs to help pay the bills as well.

So between classes and most of us working at least 15 hours during the week, there's no way we could have worked a 8-5 schedule and as a result, we pulled lots of all-nighters. I wouldn't change how any of it worked out though, since we were all extremely close as a result of being together at weird hours.

The vast majority of the people in that video (if not all) were not even born when this song came out.

I went to South County High School, the same as Spalding, and know that Tech has a huge pull up there. Both Vandyke brothers and Jeremy Haynes went there so hopefully Dillon will keep the ball rolling and bring us some offensive talent from Lorton!

They recently have been making them pay back an amount, either to the person or to charity, in order to reinstate their eligibility. Failure to do so would forfeit any remaining eligibility.
